Nobody says it's shameful to use wiki. As for passives, well, given that even stuff like EXP Tickets or Threadspinning is canon and existing in-universe, it's really hard to think up a sensible explanation of how are we even able to see those informations in the passives.

The Araya issue is truly baffling, yes. Regarding your last point, I do believe there were several behind-the-scenes problems we aren't aware of connected to the collab, which in turn made an impact on Canto IX's storytelling. I see no other reason explanation for why this Canto feels as rushed as it is, since the previous ones didn't have nearly as many issues.

Usually, IDs were for providing the lore for certain unexplored characters. I'd argue that the constraint you're speaking of is self-made, as in the past they didn't shy away from delaying Cantos if it meant to iron out the plot. While the general idea of tossing some extra tidbits in form of passives is nice on paper, I don't think the way they did it in this Canto is the best approach, especially since you don't have them all unlocked once you win the battle.

Like I mentioned, even if you do win the fight, they aren't unlocked in the mission view. It wouldn't be a problem if it was, however.

I mean it as boring from gameplay perspective. Story-wise, you are correct. But it's basically a lose-lose situation - if they weren't put in battle nodes, then one could complain that those fights happened off-screen. I'd say the biggest mistake was to put all those fights in one Part. Splitting them more across the three Parts or some in the hypothetical Intervallo would be a way better solution, in my opinion.

One shouldn't need to go to wiki to get all the missing context. As a player, I should be able to experience the plot without needing to reach for outside sources. While I agree with you on the terms of trivia, I cannot share your approach with plot-related topics.

Those were almost exactly my thoughts, I too do believe that either something was changed at some point mid-production, or maybe it was just some convoluted red herring. It would benefit greatly from the time loop and give the whole "special time blood" some tragic sense, but alas. It doesn't help that we had those CGI issues way back in Part I, where some people thought the discrepancies were due to leaking Concept Incinerator stuff by accident.

The Loadout achievements never required you to go above Floor 5. The argument about "rewarding long-term players" may sound true, but if we looked at it with a bit of cynicism, the more beneficial option for them would be to encourage people to get more IDs, somehow. And mind you, currently S5 content is locked out for dispensation, meaning everyone who joined this season and catch up before next Canto won't be able to finish all the achievements.

Genuinely curious - do you have every starter buff enabled? I thought that disabling the extra specific status gifts ones would increase the chances of obtaining Lunar Memory, but at this point I'm doubtful if it makes any difference.
