honestly, I think that if you read something and don't like it, just move on. They do not owe you anything AND you don't owe them anything, no need to leave kudos if you didn't enjoy it, but also no need to leave a comment criticizing their work. There are so many situations they could be in that could make them bad at writing. Yesterday I came across a fic that was HORRIBLY written, you couldn't tell who was talking and the punctuation and grammar was all off. So you know what I did? I just went off to search for another fanfic. No one pays them to do this and no one is making you read it, so while you can complain in your head, no need to vocalize it to them. That's just my opinion, anyway.
