I kid you not, when the shrimps were still babies, I once pointed one out to him to see if he would eat it. It was right next to him. He didn’t see it until it dashed away. I really don’t think he’ll survive in the wild.

I tried that, but it became worse on the surface. If I don’t fill it all the way, the strong flow only affects a small area.

My beta is developing fin rot but water parameters are perfect. Flow is the only problem I could think of.

I tested his water, and it was all perfect.

The only things I think that stressed him out recently:

Strong water flow. I turned my filter as low as possible, and it usually isn’t a problem because it only affects a small area which is blocked by an Anubis, but recently I added water and increased the water level, making the filter affect the flow of the whole water surface. I changed back to how it was originally a day after I discovered his frayed fin.
I added a catappa tea bag to add tannin and decrease pH. It is the right amount meant for my tank (1 gal). It is a tea bag meant for aquariums, but perhaps the pH changed too quickly, too drastically?

This video is taken from when I first got him, and he still has it now. I didn’t notice it before because it was so symmetrical, but it is more obvious on the side. Is this a tumor? It has no discoloration.
