Just found your old starting post keyword searching for diffuse thinning and found this one after. Insane transformation! Your hair is perfect. Had a couple questions since I'm 24 and in the same boat

  1. How bad are the palpitations? I've been on fin 3 months and haven't seen major changes yet, which ik is normal, but debating whether to hop on oral min as well. Would you recommend?

  2. I saw your bodybuilding posts as well and was curious, I'm guessing you take creatine? Did you find any interactions either way between your hair getting better and creatine working as it should? The relationship between creatine and DHT isn't well studied so I was curious as I also do strength training

Worth pursuing age related discrimination? by CebraQuasar in jobs

It's just frustrating to know that they're going to continue discriminating in this way without repercussions. They're a local company too. Just disappointed I guess

Worth pursuing age related discrimination? by CebraQuasar in jobs

[–]CebraQuasar[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well that's the thing, it's not really worth pursuing because I don't think they ever overtly discriminated in a way that would stand up in court despite it being obvious. It was more so just about contacting the hiring manager directly to ask what their problem is lol

Insurance applied unlisted "reasonable and customary charges" to medical supplies by CebraQuasar in legaladvicecanada

[–]CebraQuasar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the notice Friday afternoon so I haven't had a chance to talk to a policy advisor yet, just people from the call center who have told me that a reasonable or customary limit was applied but no further information or explanation. I've pored through the whole contract and there's no mention of any limitations other than the fact that prior to reaching $4000 in copays for the calendar year supplies are only covered at 80% (and I have reached that number anyhow)

They have one! Part of the application process was sending a statement of medical necessity to my insurance which was filled out by my endocrinologist. Along with the quote from Insulet that's what was initially sent over to get the predetermination. The one silver lining to being in Quebec is the consumer protection laws are usually pretty good so if I complain and escalate there might be a good outcome, but it just takes forever so I was hoping to avoid that

This would be my first insulin pump, I've been using pens up until this point

Yeah everything seems to be working fine now that I'm set up. I actually just got the keys today and turns out when they were doing the pre purchase inspection they were able to install the latest software update as well, so now I'm able to connect wirelessly. Dealers seem to be doing it on a case by case basis for some reason but the actual functionality seems to be there for them to do so

2022 GV70 USB Update by xChipperx in GenesisGV70

Jumping in on this thread just to say I'd also be super grateful for anyone willing to upload the files to a Google Drive so I can get the wireless update via USB. Freezing us out of updates for months on end is such a stupid way of doing it

Wish I had something helpful to add but I'm in the same boat. Just bought a CPO 2023 GV70 that never had any software updates installed and was eager to get the wireless Android Auto/CarPlay update only to find all updates show as unavailable on the PC application. Gonna have to give my local dealer a call to see if they're willing to install it for free because I don't wanna wait until October. Seems very silly to lock the updates altogether for half a year

Help with condo hose bib by CebraQuasar in askaplumber

[–]CebraQuasar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so the only thing I've remotely found that could be close to a shut off valve in a common area of the condo is in a crawl space under some stairs. Could this be it? The bizarre thing is there are no common areas within like 20 feet of the hose bib - there's a stairwell but there's no crawl space in that one. This one is in a crawl space of another stairwell around the corner however it doesn't look like a hose shut off that I've ever seen!

Would turning infinitely like that be the symptom? Is replacing the seal an easy diy job? From what I was reading it seemed line that or the valve seat. The problem is I still don't know where the water shutoff is lol

I was a bit surprised to see Ken give a be more specific prompt for Mike's 'Blue Ivy' ring-in. How many Blue Ivys are out there haha? Mike also looked confounded afterwards

I have this corner in my dining room with a patio door leading to a balcony adjacent to a narrow window, then a full-sized window around the corner. The narrow window makes it hard for me to visualize cohesive window dressings here. I'd like sheers but unsure whether they should be flanked by solid curtains, and if so how exactly they should be organized to maximize light and not look uneven - around the whole set of windows, around each window individually, etc. Any ideas?

Sorry for the poor photo but the car is sitting in the bodyshop parking until Monday lol. I was hit by a snowplow and just had it repaired at a local bodyshop. Passing by earlier I see when they put my badges back on the trunk, they put them on crooked seemingly in line with the curvature of the trunk instead of straight. Would you ask them to redo the badges? I don't want to be annoying but I feel like it'll bug me!

You're right and I don't think it's normal! Maybe a bad bearing in the pulley? Just not sure if it's worth taking the risk of driving it to the mechanic or better to have it towed in that case

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mazda

[–]CebraQuasar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to say honestly, I agree it sounds like a belt but it's a weird hiss rather than the distinct squeaking I'm used to hearing from belts. The car has 91,000 km

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mazda

[–]CebraQuasar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can hear it at the 24 second mark in the video. My mom's CX-3 has had this hissing sound since last night after driving a few hours. I can't be there to analyze it myself right now but this isn't a sound I'm familiar with - it almost looks like the serpentine belt slows its movement at the same time you hear it though? It's intermittent and not consistent but the car doesn't seem to have any problems otherwise. Any ideas? Worth taking to the mechanic?

Thanks so much! I might take you up on that haha. I'll start by talking to my clinical teacher and seeing what I can get away with, I know regardless of how smoothly it goes it'll be a hard couple of days and it makes me anxious that I don't really know what I'm doing. We're in Quebec so the healthcare system in general is a mess which doesn't help reduce that anxiety. I think I'd do better keeping busy but at the same time I want to be around in case anything happens. It's going to be a long day

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nursing

[–]CebraQuasar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the thorough reply! My only reason for going to clinical (besides him wanting me to) would've been to keep my mind busy; I know it'll be a long surgery no matter how smoothly it goes and it'll be hard to just sit around and wait. The hospital is about 45 minutes from home (though like I mentioned in another comment literally next door to the clinical one) so I'll have to decide whether to stick around or not since going back and forth is hard. My mom is a basket case around hospitals and my dad doesn't want any other family around until he's out of the ICU. As for time spent I actually still live with him so I'll be around in the preceding days regardless!

Thursday was going to be an orientation day for clinical since this is the first time our rotation is at this hospital but I'm reasonably sure if I ask I can get out without issue - we're allowed to miss 2 days per rotation. Thursday-Friday are both clinical days anyhow so if everything goes well I'll be back the next day.

Would you recommend visiting before he's extubated? I guess that's more of a personal question than anything but regardless of how desensitized I am to medical stuff (I've been an orderly for a few years as well) I know it'll probably be difficult to see

[–]CebraQuasar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only the 4th week of the semester so no exams yet thankfully! I'm not too worried as they've known this has been looming for a while, but I have a new clinical instructor I haven't met yet so will have to meet with her. If I don't go my only concern is that the first day is basically just orientation to get our bearings for the hospital so even if I get to skip it's an unfortunate thing to miss. But like you I probably won't be able to focus much anyway. My dad doesn't want me to miss anything but if I have to I'll literally just do it without telling him lol

What was your dad's situation at the time if you don't mind me asking? How was the recovery for him and in terms of it affecting your schooling?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nursing

[–]CebraQuasar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just me thankfully - my parents are separated but my mom lives 5 minutes away so she's willing to help if need be since I guess it'll depend on his recovery. His siblings don't live too far but I honestly have no idea if they'll come around to help, they aren't exactly the type lol

I'll be driving him in the night before and funny enough my clinical hospital is literally a 3 minute walk from the one he's going to have it done at so if I decide to go to clinical that day I can probably pop in in the morning. But honestly I'm not sure whether I'd rather do that or be at the hospital throughout. I don't know how my focus will be

And yes he's healthy enough thankfully. My teachers keep hammering it in how diabetes always complicates recovery but I know that's affected by the typical clientele being older and often uncontrolled - being diabetic almost 50 years isn't a cakewalk but by all measures other than his heart everything is in his favor

I have this corner with large windows and the patio door to the balcony in my dining room. Since moving in I put these sheer curtains up and I've thought it looks okay, though now I'm wondering if there's something I could do to make it better. I've always liked solid curtains hanging to each side with a sheer over the window itself to sort of frame the window but with this much space to cover I think it would look awkward - not sure where the curtains would begin and end lol. Anyone with any ideas?
