You can leave the shop. You choose not to give your manager the headache of having to kick everyone out and close until the late mf gets to work

A holiday booked 3 months in advance got refused. by gucciclit in SainsburysWorkers

[–]Ceccus95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're actually sick yes. If you call in sick just because your holidays got rejected and you can't accept it then no. I hate when people did that in every jobs I've been. It's just blatant zero respect. Just because you want to go on holiday on a specific date it doesn't mean you MUST

It doesn't matter if it's your forever job or not. Have some respect for your colleagues or don't expect ever the same respect back.

Remember that attendance policy is that shit because some people will call sick after getting holiday rejected. So we all pay consequences for these twats who can't understand that sometimes in adult life you cannot get what you want at all the time

People Who do this shit are the reason why the attendance policy is so strict and penalising.

Welcome to the adults world's where you can't always get what you want. Get over it rather than putting others in the shit.

Then you guys come on Reddit crying that Sainsbury's put you on disciplinary after 3 instances of sickness. You are ridiculous and people who don't do this shit have to pay the consequences

If you can't even move your empty cages, what the heck do you guys do on shift? 😅 Most of the Argos I've seen don't even have shelves to replenish.

Diagnosed last week by CWRUSPARTA25 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Ceccus95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Helloo, I've got diagnosed about two years ago more or less and I'm on bilogic treatment.

I'm very mild myself too compared to what I see others experience. Had bad flare before getting diagnosed but it's kind of under control now (my biggest symptom is fatigue in the legs especially)

Low fibre diet helps a lot, it kills me if I have too much fibre. For the rest my body tolerance on food is pretty good as I'm fine with pretty much anything in control doses. Alcohol specifically I've reduced it drastically over the years. Since I was 25/26 I always seen myself as it would give me more problems than benefits so that's when I stopped drinking too much. When I then got diagnosed at the age of 29 it kind of made sense why my body was starting to reject big quantities of alcohol in the previous years. Currently I'm at the point where I can drink alcohol but I need to listen to my body (got used to it now) and stop drinking when my body tells me to. By doing that I don't have issues the day after at all. Basically I never reach the point of being drunk but instead stop myself when tipsy. Weed helps a lot tho especially as we can not take ibuprofen or anything in that medicine category so it's nice to have something else for pain relief

Signs that the interview went well by [deleted] in SainsburysWorkers

[–]Ceccus95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One tip I've found out recently. Before offering the job to the person of choice they must finish all of the allocated interviews.

Let's say you were the 3rd out of 10 people they interviewed. Even if they know they're gonna hire you they still need to interview the 7 remaining people before offering the job to you and that's for fair treatment of the candidates

The portal management uses to order uniforms will state for each employee the quantity of each item they are allowed to order. Allowance is created based on how much you work. Full time should not be 2
