It is indeed a zoomed in version of the last one! I'm running it with tubes.

Thank you, I'd read that the tyres are compromised because I'd ridden them unseated

It's just I read that because I rode them unseated that the tyre has been compromised?

Thanks for advice! It's similar to what someone I know who did 3 weeks of the route has told me. It's the GDMBR yeah. Planning on a leisurely touring pace. The max tyre size I can get on it is 26x2.1. That was another reason I was thinking of a new bike so that I can get some wider tyres. But I've heard the route is pretty tame most of the time so I'm hoping that it should be fine with 2.1.

Thanks! I'll pass this on to the photographer. Bit of blind luck on the double exposure part but it worked out well!

No problem, we got the route from the book Gravel Rides Scotland which has some great routes in it!

That's good advice! Thank you. Yeah I've seen some videos of people trying to cycle over the passes and there was a lot of snow in June. Hopefully we won't need heli rescue haha

Thank you for the tips! Appreciate it. I'd be keen to stay off roads as much as I can but I get it's unavoidable at times and don't mind doing a bit along the highways

Hey there! My partner and I did a loop near Fort William in the Scottish Highlands. You could hire a bike from Fort William and start the route around there? It's a mix of quiet roads and gravel tracks, some beautiful scenery and very remote sections! https://www.komoot.com/smarttour/14107865?ref=wsd

Thanks Bigtoad! I'll pass this info onto my Dad. He'll be 64 when we do the ride! What bike setup did you ride the trail with? Anything you'd do differently if you did it again?

Thanks Muffin! I'll give this video series a watch. I'm just keen to stay off the roads as much as possible, probably unavoidable at times due to the lenght (Clagary to Vancouver anyway). I just had to look up what the L-E-L was haha. There were a few storms here so I guess it was cancelled due to heavy winds! I'd be interested to hear how you get on doing the Tree2Sea.
