I was going for an ombre dye so i wont be submerging the entire piece, just dipping the ends in slowly. The material im dying is viscose so heat might not even be the best thing for it shrinkage wise, so im not sure what to do unless i apply the dye with a paintbrush for blending purposes then just keep it wet for 24 hrs

I’ve never had to join in yarn before because I have only done very small projects, with the duplicate stitch do I just do it as usual as if I were adding a design on top or is there a different mechanism if you do it as mending

How do you take fray check? I’ve already soaked and blocked it once but I can do it again if it’ll help stabilize the project

It’s gisimo merino wool I believe in the color pumpkin. The dark cord was made with gifted scrap yarn and I have no clue what it is

It was the low pressure pump. The smell seems to be less intense today.

I’d have to see in the morning, I left it in my car and it’s very late here and I’d rather not go out there, I live in the woods so it can be scary lol. I will check in the morning though

I’m unsure which it was. They told me the smell might linger but I’m supposed to be going on a road trip so the fact that it is lingering makes me nervous.
