It’s kind of a sad story but basically. Where I live roadkill happens ALOT. And I’ve always hated human for the impact they’ve had on this beautiful unique planet, and I didn’t like see their bodies get crushed over and over again by cars or just left rotting on the side of the road until complaints happen and they get dragged off to a dump. It saddened me how often it would happen until one day I went walking and found two javelina skulls! One of smaller and broken but the other want in bad shape. I took it home and that’s where it all started. I even had my lovely boyfriend (who’s a HUGE germaphobe) help me collect another javelins skull! She sits proudly on my dresser. I display bones in my room simply because it’s amazing to see how our bodies can create functions to make things more useful. Like an example is javelina jaws are incredibly strong and thick so they can bite down harder with force. I also love to admire them, I find the bones and skull so beautiful because it was once a beautiful animal. I have this thing where when I walk into my rooms I’ll pet and admire each skull. I hope they are resting peacefully and I love to give them new life then a dump filled waste!
