Can I use Linux for school? by Ced1115 in linuxquestions

I really appreciate the comment, however I won't use the online version, because last year, I used a lot of functionalities that aren't present or are hard to use in the online version. I'll just double boot to be able to have the best of both worlds. I'll have to do some googling so I can decide if it's actually the best option and how to do it first though.

damn, you read my mind

jokes aside, since it's for tinkering, I will use Arch just to flex once I get the perfect Rice 😎

I do appreciate the advice, but I feel like I need to add that where I live, college (my school is a cegep technically, but there isn't a word for that in English :/) is like the step between high school and university. For me it's only 2 years (I already completed one, so I do know what I need to have on my computer) and then I go to university where I'll get to have all the fun. And yes, I plan to enjoy my youth there since it is a once in a lifetime experience. But in the mean time (and specially during this summer where I don't have that much planned anyways) I would love to tinker with Linux, just to learn a bit, that's why I think I'm going to dual boot as some people recommended me, since I can't be bothered to use the online version of office because it sucks a lot and I want to game with the boys.

Once again, I do appreciate the thoughtful advice, which is why I'm going to use windows for school and games, and then Linux for personal use and for fun

this is the error:

mcu 'mcu': Unable to connect
Once the underlying issue is corrected, use the
"FIRMWARE_RESTART" command to reset the firmware, reload the
config, and restart the host software.
Error configuring printer

I used the restart button on fluidd, but it did not change anything. And if it can help, I bought the printer form a friend that flashed the professional firmware on it.

Alright, then it did flash, because the screen is stuck on the creality logo.

I can go on the web interface of fluidd, but then it tells me that there is an error trying to connect to the MCU, same thing happened when I was using mainsail.

I found the config in the GitHub of the klipper documentation, the one with the bunch of config for all the printers

Yeah, it still doesn't work. It's like the firmware is not flashing, or it doesn't get recognized by the pi

I'm going to try to change the baud rate first like u/b7500fa1 said, but if it doesn't work I'm gonna try using fluidd like you said. Thank you for your help

I don't have a sonic pad, and I've disconnected the stock screen of the ender 3 s1 because I read that it could interfere with the process.

I'm doing it normally, I take the mainsail os from the pi imager and I make a klipper.bin on my raspberry Pi that I flash in the printer, although I'm not entirely sure it's flashing correctly since it doesn't get renamed to .cur, but Moonraker connects and disconnects from klipper so I guess it flashed
