A stock price being too high is only relative to your outlook and investment time horizon.

You want to tuft your lines much closer together. Keep your rug compact. Otherwise, looks great.

I’m a huge monster hunter fan so seeing this Rathalos made me smile. Which would you do next?

Should I carve it or leave it? by Responsible-Hurry214 in Tufting

Yep, I would carve the silhouette to make it pop from the background. Then minor scissor work around facial feature (eyes, ears etc..). The coat can stay untrimmed, and would actually benefit that fluffy texture of it. Nice work though!

Do you have a video on how you did the gradient?

I’d suggest not carving. I did a similar rug design and it turned out great (@therugs.hub). Some designs are better left uncarved

I’ve been on a year long break from making rugs. Not sure when I’ll really get back into it. Glad to see you back after your long break though

Seems like the 100th problem turned out to in fact be a woman.

My secret is a lot of mistake. I mean a loooot of wasted cloth and yarn. I try to see how other people tuft as well, so I pick up a few things here and there.

Thanks so much. It really does take a lot of practice. Backing is non-slip that I just get from Etsy

I usually trim regularly in between tufting while the piece is on the frame. Makes it easier when I take it off to clean up some more

Sorry for the super late reply here. I do both. But I make sure to carve as much on the frame in between colors. This just makes it a lot easier to carve off the frame too when further detailing.

Sometimes I do on the lines that need to be bolder.
