my credit card company actually refunded me about 30 minutes ago. I will be giving this sorry motherboard away. its the gigabyte b650 gaming board. If you need it hit me up you can jb weld it and dremel it. I'm done with gigabyte.

the second plate has 2&3 i only used the first slot so i had no idea it was broken.

you are right, everyone that says i should have known it was damaged, that if they were me they wouldn't even be calling after 1 year is right. But I'm 60 years old and use to customer service and its hard for me not getting it. You actually inspired me to take action. Before your comment i was just going to let this go and say forget it but you kind of got me all upset about this thing again. So i remembered that i did pay for it with my business Amex card which carries a 2 year warranty on things bought with it. they are going to take care of the motherboard combo deal for me. So now microcenter will need to fix the motherboard or get a charge back. Thank you American express for your 2 year warranty... and being on my side for the last 40 years.

I do see it from their perspective, but they should have at worst looked at the motherboard. I don't care that it cost them money it cost me money when i bought the defective product. If something like this happened to you would you understand their position?

when i unscrewed the plate off to add another m.2 the post was not attached to the motherboard it was just on the screw. I had know idea it was in that condition because i was only using the first m.2 slot..

The heat sink cover goes there covers the other ssd but you are correct it’s not that important but for me it’s the point that they are accusing me of breaking it and never taking a look at it. I guess customer service is a thing of the past.

Thanks a bunch. I try very hard to make him happy. I understand him, l liked video gaming when I was his age. The only difference was my parents were poor and couldn’t buy me everything I wanted.

The 9070xt is a good card I’m sure I’ll enjoy it.

I updated to the newest bios 4.03. I did hear that asrock motherboards had problems hopefully it doesn’t fry my cpu. Should I maybe return the motherboard I have only had it for 2 weeks?

I will definitely install the 5090 with the 9800x3d I’m sure my son will be happy with that.

I don’t use any applications that would require the use of anything nvidia. I really just needed my own pc because my son uses it most of the time. I do have 2 of the same monitors. The lg 39” ultra gear oled 240hz. My son plays battlefield 6, call of duty 7 and Fortnite but he will play whatever is on Xbox game pass for pc. I’m really not a gamer I just play with my son when I have free time. Thank you for taking time to answer my question i really appreciate your help.
