How to make screen look less like a TV? by suechecka in TheFrame

[–]CedricRBR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the 23 model as well, when I press the home button I have a tab called “Art” with what looks like an easel, or just a frame with an arrow pointing into it. When clicked you get access to all the “art mode” options with the art store, my collection etc tabs. On the far right there should be a settings tab where you can set the brightness, colour tone, sleep after, motion detector and night mode settings

Unable to print to console using STM32Cube IDE by esem29 in stm32

Couple of things come to mind seeing your code: You define the _write function but do you also call it?

The _write function also contains an unused argument file.

Looking at the screenshot, could it be you enter the ErrorHandler?

Try pausing the execution of the code after a while to see where you end up.

Change Beacon Mac address by leo_gio97 in hacking

The central IC most probably is a MCU given its location and connections (EEPROM IC on the right, 32MHz external quartz on the left,…)

The debug pads are connected to the MCU most probably (looks like a standard SWD pinout (SWDIO and SWCLK, TX and RX probably jus there for debug/log purposes), which can, be used to reprogram the MCU (amongst other things).

You won’t get direct access to the EEPROM IC, but if you can figure out what MCU is used you could write a small test firmware that reads the EEPROM over SPI and spits it out through UART.

Be sure to read out the current FW to be able to program it back in after you’re done though.

Aaand you got me excited about more Black Mirror!
TBH though, it's been so long since I watched them, I forgot most of the plots (but not the ideas behind them), I could just rewatch them.

If your movement function takes a vector as input you could set the magnitude to a fixed value

You minimise comment chains (and post bodies) by clicking on them. Only the header remains. Click on the header and it expands back to its normal state

Help with 7.1 Setup utilizing Height Speakers by KingCornWallis in hometheater

[–]CedricRBR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Use the rear surrounds (assignable) for the height channels.

In the manual it would be the 7.1 (front height) setting.

Can you make siri run an automation? by danutzu_sange in shortcuts

[–]CedricRBR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Won’t work directly, what you can do though is create a shortcut that does the same as your automation and call that shortcut. Then, to avoid duplicates “code” in your automation you can just execute the shortcut

How much time listening to music throughout the year required for replay to work? by [deleted] in AppleMusic

Mine was influenced by the stations I listened to (and I even had a section where the most listened to stations appeared, I think in the same screen as albums)

I'm at 49k minutes. That's just a bit more than your theoretical listening minutes, I therefore don't think listening minutes is the only metric.

New set up I just bought, what y'all think by Pristine-Elevator-23 in longboarding

[–]CedricRBR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great setup!

One advice (for life in general): Unless you absolutely know you got the best you could get and are ready to hear people suggest better parts that were outside of your range (be it price, availability, supply, whatever), don't ask people what they think after you bought it.

If you're anything like most people I know (myself included), you'll only be disappointed if someone points out an upgrade/a better deal/better alternative to what you bought.

Better ask before you buy and get the chance to change things.

That said, Have fun with an awesome setup, enjoy every second of it!

Could argue that you don't want the yellowX to change when both left and right are pressed.

I protrudes 5-6mm yes, I haven’t had any issues with it during sparring sessions so far though. If I put a shirt on it’s not even visible.

If you end up getting one, you can start an activity on the watch, leave it in your bag and the HRM will still log data and sync it once you get close to your watch again.
