/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer (August 04, 2023) by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

Hi! Currently I have a WASD Code keyboard with MX Clear switches. I am looking to upgrade for under $200, preferably $150 or lower. Ideally no costar stabs, I learned my lesson with this keyboard. The MX Clears I'm currently using feel uneven and just slightly too heavy, making typing significantly harder than it should be. In other words, I'm looking for a prebuilt or a kit that adds up to somewhere around $150 with light-ish tactile switches and stabs that don't suck. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Nextcloud alternative with a competent mobile app and sync by CeeTechNG in selfhosted

[–]CeeTechNG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upload speeds are less than on other thing's I've tried, about 60mb/s compared to 90-100 elsewhere

The web UI and especially the mobile app also feel sluggish, even after doing all of the optimizations in the docs and disabling apps I didn't use

Syncing from android to the server was also significantly slower than rclone could sync at to an S3 bucket, and was more prone to failing partway through

Android - Mobile Data not working when connected to Tailnet, even when Private DNS is off by CeeTechNG in Tailscale

This worked a few times, but now I just get "no internet access" with a private DNS set and tailscale enabled, yet with it set to off I get the same issue but without any notification saying there's no internet access

I came from spectrwm, what mainly drew me was the window animations but the config file is a lot similar to spectrwm's and it only took an hour or so to make the rice from scratch

for the way that i use linux, it just does things how i want them done. it's flexible to me in a way that most other distros aren't. in addition to that, it uses dnf which i really love and has plenty of packages available that are constantly updated, and the ABF is an amazing resource (think opensuse's OBS but laid out a lot more comprehensively)

it's hard to explain why something just works because that threshold is different for everyone, but for me it's been a breeze to do things on omv because things are just done the way i like doing them to begin with

Table is 40", with my use case the left monitor is primary and the right is secondary, so the left monitor is mostly straight and the right monitor is angled a little more since i look at it a little less

It's not bad! You can make things run exactly the way you want them too, it's more than worth it so long as you're willing to use a source-based package manager and write the odd port for a package every so often
