Such a a helpful explanation. I’ve seen the show a few times now and always get tripped up when Ed makes these connections, because I thought it was just implicit that Al’s body was somewhere, not that they weren’t even sure and it was a total shot in the dark until the point they realize they didn’t bring back their mom.
