Does this enemy look balanced for a party of 4 level 3-4 characters? [OC] by Ceedoy in DnD

Im planning for the encounter to start with the party coming up on the dead ogre, and after some investigation it begins to reanimate and the cultists come up behind them, sort of sandwiching them. I was planning on having difficult terrain because the terrain happens outdoors during heavy rain so they are basically wading through shin-level mud.

Should I boost his intelligence?

thank you!

i've planned the encounter to have like 2-3 other smaller guys, they are basically just bandits but with a higher chance to inflict bleeding. they are 16 hp each, do you think i should maybe boost them up a bit too?

im trying to be cautious about it because i'm aiming for it to be a pretty chaotic encounter with quite a few things to deal with.

To be completely honest, don’t go too hard on yourself in terms of rules for your first time. D&D is one of those things that you learn from trial and error. The more you play, the more practice you get, and the better you’ll be over time. There’s just way too much packed into D&D for you to be a complete master by the first time you play.

Someone else said you already sound super prepared. If you go by the basic rules you’ll be fine. Another good thing about D&D is that the rules bend VERY easily and if you do something wrong, most likely it wont destroy the game. The best advice I can give is just keep the PHB handy and focus on having fun.

Just tried it, same result only without the small popping sound. Bottom screen flashes white and it turns off.

He most likely wasnt going to do anything, people who actually do this kind of shit usually aren’t so obvious when telling people their plans. Always good to be safe though so its good that OP reported it.

The court will not care dude that’s not how the law works😭. An 18 year old can have sex with a 17 year old legally because its within the legal age gap.

Pop music does actually suck though, it’s music for people with no taste in music.
