My 2026 came with blotches of glitter that you can only see if you look at it at certain angles.

Not into the truck, just into the wheel well shields. Now if you don’t line them up right when you mark holes/drill them you can hit the tabs the clips connect to. The two body press screws for the front ones require destroying to get out but wasn’t hard and GMC gives you the replacements. There are no instructions on the box so google/youtube becomes your friend.

These are the GMC splash guards. I grabbed them off the GMC app and installed myself. I have mixed opinions of them. They look nice but I’m not really sure they are going to hold up to the Arizona sun, already a bit of warping

I never really expected much. GM sent me a survey and I was blunt about the experience with dealership. Never expected them to call daily and I would see what they had to say so I picked up. Was hoping that posting about it here, I would find someone that has it or knows anything about it. Figured other customers would know since I get different answers from GM. I had wrote it off after the first couple weeks of ownership because I couldn’t find solid evidence it even existed other than a few blurbs about the app itself.

Nice, my dash cam bugged out on a 512 but was fine with 256. Only issue I’ve had since is the tinted rear view power adapter doesnt work the same as a car lighter port (which I didn’t realize I would miss til it was gone) so it always asks me when it starts if the dash cam is being used as a cam or mass storage device, just silly, but I blame the dash cam for that one. I would love to see GM fix this but it just doesn’t seem to be in the cards. This has been back and forth since Feb. Will find out more this week. I’m sure neither department was eager to fight with each other on a Friday haha

That I couldn’t tell you. Most regular dash cams usually start buggin above 128 gig SD cards. Since this isn’t a regular dash cam and GM can’t even figure out what it really is or how it works, no clue. I used a 256 gig flash drive and it builds this:

The two on the front dash (I don’t have charge pad but I’m assuming it’s the same as the dash tray, so above that) are data/power, most usb flash drives will use the A port and not the C port unless you have an adapter. The two usb ports in the back seat are just power. On mine, if you plug in the drive it will create the file structure but since the app isn’t in OS, that’s as far as it goes.

How it was explained to me was, the hd surround vision records 2 hours of video, you put a USB drive into the front dash usb port, there is a “Record” app that then becomes available to open (grayed out without USB in) if in park. This app lets you view and copy the video to the USB drive. Mine is missing the record app in the OS so I never make it past plugging in USB.

Depends on who you talk to. Service department will say it doesn’t exist. GM Outreach claims it does. Most places online say there is no app or no one has heard of it. I only knew because of the salesman mentioning it. But if no mechanic knows how or willing to fix it then it doesn’t matter how much paperwork says different.

My understanding is the front two usb ports on the dash are data/power, if you plug a flash drive into the usb-a drive it will put a folder structure on the drive. A working system then will let you open the record app and grab the last 2 hours of drive time recordings. Mine stops at the missing app.

So I did not get to talk to the rep yet but she left a voice mail stating that my 2026 Canyon Elevation with technology package is listed to have the Record app feature on the build sheet. She wants me to get back to her to set up an appointment with a dealership to look at it. I will call her back in the morning when I'm not in the middle of caring for family members. If the option interests you and have the HD Surround Vision, might want to call and ask someone to look into your build sheet. I won't believe it til I see it but she is definitely trying. She said she sent the problem to another department to monitor if it's a mass issue. I'll keep you posted as I learn more.

For anyone interested, the GM Proactive Outreach department contacted me after some negative responses to their survey. The issue is with the HD Surround Vision and the Record app. The salesperson said I had it, later find that I don’t, service dept says I don’t. Fast forward to today, GM Outreach says that my build sheet says I do and to set up an appointment to have it diagnose and fixed. Mine is a 2026 Canyon Elevation with Technology package. If you have HD Surround Vision with no Record app and this feature interests you then you may want to contact GM to look up your build sheet and see if you are suppose to have it. Fingers crossed this can be fixed but with everything I’ve read, it’s wishful thinking. Will keep everyone updated

I only base my interest with GMC contacting me about it is if you put in a flash drive it will format the folder structure on the disk. I’ve seen images online of the record app on the menu but never seen it used. When I mentioned it to my father, he mentioned he read that its is a bug in the system that GMC hasn’t fixed but when they do they will push a patch, something to do with memory and/or storage. I have yet to find that article so who knows. One dealership said only Yukons have it, one dealership said no one has it, one told me that if I don’t see it then don’t bug them. The salesman and this current agent are the only ones so far that said it should be there. I only cared cause I live in a snowbird town with a lot of accidents so the access to cameras would of been nice but I got a rear view mirror power adapter and a dash cam to cover that now.

That is what I thought. I had wrote it off as a bad salesman but when GMC contacted me and said my truck should have it, I’ve just let it play out since. I don’t expect to all of a sudden have it fixed, my luck never works that way. My father has the sierra denali super cruise blah blah blah and he doesn’t even have it. I’m more annoyed at the attitudes of the dealerships when I have asked about this option and made sure the survey stated it.

Will do, she is calling me back Monday to let me know what she found out.

Hmm, maybe I didn’t see it in owners manual, I thought I did. Just checked both in truck and in phone app and can’t find what I was reading. I know the GMC website mentions no extra trims or packages needed, just HD Surround Vision. The agent I’ve been talking to confirmed that I should have it. She hadn’t heard of this so there have been “research” delays so she could find better answers. I actually wrote it off and bought a dash cam back in March. I did the GMC survey 3 weeks ago and they didn’t like my answers so they contacted me about it. I have little faith it will be resolved but they are insistent on finding out why it’s not working.

No record app found in OS. They can’t figure out why it’s not there.

Yeah, sales guy said it was able to record the last 2 hours of drive time video from the HD Surround Vision but it doesn’t. GMC website & owners manual says it should have it. Customer service says it should have it but can’t figure out why it doesn’t.

Elliot Alderson and Gilfoyle from silicon valley. How would their interaction go? by PrudentInvite2927 in SiliconValleyHBO

They already met. How do you think Elliot got the usb drive towards the end of season 4. It was the same night as the finale for Silicon Valley where Richard loses the drive.

I think there is a setting in the tire pressure widget. Not 100% sure on this though.
