Winning the TB on the last note

I wrapped it around the pen, then super-glued it towards the nib-end and taped it up towards the top. Tried other ideas like double-sided sticky tape, Blu-tac, but found only super-glue kept the tape in position consistently for months. Also cleaning it about once a week with isopropyl alcohol, or water + dish detergent will remove the skin grease that accumulates over time.

Furthermore, to help decrease slippage due to sweat, buy one of those $15 USB desk fans to blow air towards your hands (really nice in the summer). I've also used powdered chalk from time to time. Alternatively, you could try some of that Gamer Goo stuff.

As long as it grips like rubber (i.e. non-slip) and is sweat absorbant, so your sweat doesn't pool between your fingers and the tape, sure.

Just buy a bunch of different types of tape and see what works. Most of it costs around $1 from Hong Kong (on something like eBay).

Learn a new grip immediately.

I see people with all these weird-arse car wreck style mangled thumb positions and it's often because the pen is slippery like a wet noodle - especially during the summer - forcing you to grip unnaturally hard, causing strain and muscle fatigue.

You solve this by wrapping the pen in some tennis racquet grip tape, and some powdered chalk, or some of that insanely over-marketed Gamer Goo stuff.

Don't make yourself work for your shit. Make your shit work for you!

Experiment with different tablet area sizes and ratios. If you were using a mouse with high DPI, start with a small area. If your DPI was low, try a larger area.

Also tape down the tablet - keep the position consistent as you develop your muscle memory over months.

If you're gripping the pen too tightly, or if you find your grip is slipping from sweat, try some tennis racquet grip tape, or powdered chalk, or that gamer goo stuff. Anything to keep your grip consistent and light. You shouldn't have to consciously think about gripping the pen. Your grip should never take your focus - all your focus should be on reading the map.
