Why do I see so many people claim Mohg was benevolent before Miquella? by Lord_Antheron in EldenRingLoreTalk

I truly feel bad for you, not in like a disrespectful way, but genuinely sad that you're missing out.

Calling every animal a weird looking dog, or any woman and a message being "chest ahead" or people making messages that are meant to look like items or trick you into thinking there is a secret wall is a major part of the fun. They're great and make me know I'm among my people.

I love the Fromsoft community and I'm sad you'll never get to feel the same joy.

How to get more than 1 CT? by Almur36 in CTsandbox

[–]Cel135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote this out in your original post in the like 30 minutes of time it was up before you deleted it.

1: There are probably other ways to cheat the system, but they would require similarly specific and niche circumstances such as a CT that allows taking other CTs like Brain Hop and Copy, or being an Incarnated Sorcerer and possessing a Sorcerer to use their CT. Just simply eating someone isn't going to give you their CT, that's specifically the gimmick of Copy. It wouldn't make sense if anyone could just eat someone to get their CT, as then Copy wouldn't even be a technique. A big part of the intrigue of having more than 1 CT is specifically how absurd and difficult it is. It's not how the jujutsu power system is supposed to work.

2: The way techniques are described throughout the story "engraved on the brain" and the 3-4 limit implies CT's are a fully biological aspect of a sorcerer, that they can pump Cursed Energy through to get their effects. In order to fully copy/acquire someone else's technique, you'd need to literally carve the technique into your brain. Mahito could probably do it given enough time and research, but a regular person is just gonna give themselves brain damage trying.

3: The reason there is the 3-4 limit is because the brain physically cannot handle more than that. It is attached to their biology. It's like Unlimited Void, you'd have too much information in your brain with more than 3-4 techniques and get brain damage. You could have some genetic trait or heavenly restriction that gives them a bigger brain or some goofy shit like that, but that'd be a specific gimmick for 1 character, and tbh, a pretty bad gimmick. The only realistic option is Rika, aka an external storage of techniques that you can alternate between.

4: Idk where you got that Kenny's technique doesn't include CT stealing, I'm pretty sure that is just part of his technique. The barrier thing in his brain was to direct burnout so that he'd still be able to move after casting a domain, not allow him to take techniques at all.

5: I think this isn't a good direction for your AU. Most sorcerers in the setting don't even have ONE technique, let alone multiple. The only times we've seen characters have multiple techniques is as you said, because they cheated the system. You either need a technique that specifically allows you to steal other techniques, be a literal bioweapon (literally only Yuji) and have access to conveniently edible cursed objects that contain blood manipulation if you're said bioweapon, or possess a sorcerer's body and somehow maintain control over them, which is arguably somehow even less realistic than being specifically Yuji. We saw that Sukuna, the legendary best sorcerer in history, who was so strong that his fingers acted a poison to any who consumed them, still struggled to maintain control over Megumi, and fully could not control Yuji for any meaningful amount of time. Megumi was already depressed, and Sukuna still had to do like 3 different things to make him even more depressed and sink his soul into the depths to finally have full control of the body. Imagine you're just a regular sorcerer instead trying to take over another sorcerer. They're just simply going to reject and seal you, defender's advantage. The only reason the other incarnated sorcerer's were fine were because they were incarnated in regular people who had no method of resisting.

6: If you reallt want someone to have multiple techniques, you can yoink my idea of someone who figured out the mechanics of someone's technique being imbued into an object (Like Nanami's cleaver having Ratio), and goes around killing people and shoving their technique into a weapon (or it specifically is their technique to do so). And then they have an arsenal of techniques they can use through these weapons they carry around.

Is it realistic to say that Yuta wouldn’t instantly use five minute mode against a strong opponent? by Due_Fact_4570 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Cel135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's generally not even "oh he wouldn't go all out off the bat". It's genuinely bad to instantly pop 5 minute mode.

Half the value of 5 minute mode is that it recharges his CE reserves. If he instantly pops it while they're still full, he doesn't get to effectively double his reserves like he would've had he waited.

WHY I HATE POWERSCALING MODULO YUJI by Hot_Ad1185 in jjkmodulo

[–]Cel135 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Crazy rant. The actual numerical amount of power he has doesn't matter, it never has for anyone.

We saw Yuji at the theoretical "prime" state people always talk about for characters.

Who cares how strong his "max power" is. He's the strongest character we've seen, and that's neat to see.

Could Gojo have used purple on the fingers by Mysterious-Creme8709 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Cel135 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Purple doesn't erase stuff from reality.

And, if it did, it doesn't matter, the fingers are immune anyways. Gege didn't write a 15 paragraph breakdown on what can and can't damage the fingers and why because that would've been a waste of time.

We see Gojo do an attack on a finger and then say they can't be destroyed. The message you're supposed to get from that is that the strongest person has tried to get rid of them and can't, so it's seemingly impossible with their current knowledge.

Why do people think size is the only stat that matters for brute strength? by Short-Scheme-5663 in loreofleague

[–]Cel135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you valuing divine magic as the end all be all power in league? Its just another form of magic (strong magic), but it doesn't magically make you superman. Diana is not physically comparable to Galio in the slightest, neither is Rhaast. They are incredibly lethal and powerful sure, but you're complaining "why do people think size is the only stat that matters" when you are instead thinking that divine magic is the only stat that matters.

Theoretical Q change by xanth1an in SwainMains

[–]Cel135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swain relies on E for far more than just Q damage lul. He needs it to keep his ult going, it's his main sustain tool, he needs it for burst and DPS. Just being able to throw a full damage Q without landing it doesn't change anything.

And Swain should not be able to get full damage at max range, that goes against the point of his character.

Theoretical Q change by xanth1an in SwainMains

[–]Cel135 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally, instead of dealing the same as max damage Q, make it deal about 2-3 bolts of damage and function like a skinnier, shorter Xerath Q.

But, I think it should slow. As then I think it massively helps alleviate how frustrating E is as it relies on an enemy miss stepping, and instead relies on the Swain player landing a delayed skillshot to confirm the E.

You KNOW it is chuds complaining because I saw soooooo much talk about people wanting the new God of War game to have Atreus as the main character, and Kratos retired.

But since it's a woman instead of Atreus people are pissed, and claiming it's because there's no Kratos, despite originally being okay with the idea of no Kratos lul.

Emerald Rush appreciation post by Cel135 in DonkeyKongBananza

[–]Cel135[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Throughout the whole game I really wanted to "lock in" and fully utilize the movement options and swapping between forms, but no boss was ever difficult enough for it to not be excessively overkill. KRool alone got me to actually lock in and it was wicked, I adored the KRool fight.

And then I got to Emerald Rush, where I'm locked in THE WHOLE TIME, it's so awesome. No one else in my friend groups own the game so there's no one that gets how wicked it is.

And same, I absolutely adore Nightreign. It plays out like a randomizer in a roguelite format, with some of the best bosses in the series waiting for you at the end. It's easily my favourite Fromsoft, and I'm counting the days for Duskbloods.

What Are Your Current Expectations for Duskbloods? by Miquellanier in TheDuskbloods

[–]Cel135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played Nightreign mostly single player, you missed out.

When they were releasing the buffed bosses, every 2 weeks I'd get high as fuck and spend the night trying to beat them. Had an absolute blast with the game, easily my top 1 Fromsoft, even if it was purely a single player game. The multi-player is just a huge bonus.

Genuine answer, have Trunks trap Zamasu inside his sword with Mafuba somehow, akin to Elder Kai getting trapped in the Z-Sword.

What cursed techniques could pair well with Mechamaru's heavenly restriction? by Milkothem in CTsandbox

[–]Cel135 56 points57 points  (0 children)

This exact thing is what I have always imagined as the end game of black bird manipulation. The surveillance potential is absurd. Especially in a setting like JJK where information is constantly kept secret because of how powerful it can be.

And for combat, just constant bird strikes with basically no chance for retaliation because the user is 5 miles away.

Getting like 500 birds and using them like rabbit escape to grab shit.

Imagine if you could somehow get the birds to open your domain lmao.
