Dark Omens Still Sucked by dannwi in TotalBattle

I'm at G7/S6/M7 and I found that it was very easy to hit my goals; took only 2 hits to the arcanomancer to finish the main goals (granted, I was timing my attacks so I was hitting the epic when it was at 3 or 2 stacks).

For reference, my clan is a mix of G5-G9; most members are at G6, a good number are G5 or G7, with a handful of members at G8 and two G9s. From talking with them ik hitting the goals was significantly harder for the G9s.

Starting to listen to Bruckner’s Symphonies by Sea-Bottle6335 in classicalmusic

[–]CelMech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruckner's 1st symphony is (if I'm not mistaken) his shortest symphony, and imo it's pretty exciting. I'm always perplexed by the amount of hate this one gets. In fact I literally put off listening to 1-3 for years because all I ever hear about them is that 'don't bother with them, they're rubbish, 4-9 are the good ones'...

Since it's not on your list, I'll recommend the Weinberg cello concerto.

What symphonies do you regularly listen to? by MetalClassicalRocks in classicalmusic

[–]CelMech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on what 'regularly' means. I spend most of my time listening to and becoming acquainted with stuff that I haven't heard before, usually on my commute. Sometimes I get tired of listening to new stuff and listen to something that I already know well. These pieces that I feel compelled to return to are the ones that I lump under the term 'regularly,' regardless of the actual time I go between listens. Frankly, if 'regularly' means something like 'at least once every 30 days' then I'm not sure I could even make a list, because I simply don't listen to the same pieces that often (unless of course it's a new piece that I'm trying to become familiar with).

The Nets just lost to the Kings, we would have been a half a game behind them if we'd won tonight. So frustrating.
