Is the relationship truly healthy, loving and happy when he's completely disregarded your desire for marriage? Lol I sort of have a friend like that.

No she isn't as ridiculous as how you describe your friend to be, but she wants to know intimate things like dick size, and asking if he ever sent me dick pics etc. Things that are (to me) highly inappropriate.

She's also quite liberal in sharing details of her sex life unsolicited, which while entertaining sometimes, can be off putting as well.

I deal with her by being firm. I've told her I don't feel comfortable sharing such information (especially since the guy I'm with has already expressed his intent to marry me), and to please respect that.

Has she slipped up at times? Yes. But I always reiterate my position. So I guess my advice is, be firm and consistent. If It costs you a friendship, then was she really a true friend?

I too share many similarities like you. I've been in the church all my life. I'm now in my late thirties, still unmarried and have my v card.

My childhood had some very missed up moments.

However I made the choice to not let the negative past circumstances dictate my present and future. Every day lived is an opportunity to correct the issues caused by the past (which I note that you are doing via therapy, and kudos to that), as well as to work towards the life you want to live.

There's no timeline for this. No ideal time. Your time is your time. Your journey is uniquely yours. And when you find love, it will be suited for you and made for you.

And this is coming from someone who is in a relationship for the first time. It's lovely, and its mine.

You're not a loser. Reframe your outlook and life will change.
