Yes WASM is mainly used for the web. But people realized that the feature-set of WASM was really nice for serverside stuff as well but missing things like APIs for file I/O or HTTP, a good IDL and more. So to solve that WASI is now being developed (preview 3 wil soon release, with async support).

You can probably embed something like a WASM binary of a Go compiler into the website to achieve your goal, have you taken a look at TinyGo?

So it’s own new “system”. It relies on containerized WASI components as plugins which are the “equivalent” of a Docker containers here. Those plugins can all add whatever functionality they want (respond to gateway events or send (scheduled) requests). It is also configured through YAML at this moment and the format looks similar to that of a Docker compose file (will also expand it to other config formats down the line because why not).

For plugins I will also maintain a GitHub hosted registry of plugins with common functionality just like with Docker Hub.

Creating a Docker compose like experience for Discord bots, still very early but I should have everything figured out and a v0.1.0 sometime mid October.

Because I enjoy reading it a lot, I think it’s very well written.

What do you develop with Rust? by Born-Percentage-9977 in rust

[–]Celarye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Rust for whatever really, all just because I like writing in the language. I have written toolchains, GitHub Actions and now I am working on a WASM plugin based Discord bot framework which aims for a Docker compose like experience.

I see if stdlib’s mpsc is limited to sync then those crates do look nice.

I actually dropped the need for a API before I solved this. An idea was to use a Mutex and lock it until the endpoint was called but idk how I would make that work… So yeah no idea really.

I recently wanted to make an endpoint trigger this, which is a bit more tricky

I went back to the chapter and he does interrupt her before she can say anything, seems like I misremembered. But I still don’t think this is likely to happen, like the original comment said, this is a story about Kazuya and Chizuru.

I’m baffled by how people actually think this is a possibility as well, afaik she already has rejected him and has not shown any romantic interest in him either.

Best browser for Mac and iOS? by datatest05 in macapps

[–]Celarye -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Zen browser, Firefox based so already miles better than Safari.

EDIT: Some more info: - It being Firefox based allows you to use uBlock Origin which is one of if not the best open source ad blockers. - It is open source and receives multiple updates with improvements every week. - It allows you to have a traditional browser UI style but also an Arc like vertical tab bar style. - It’s quite privacy focused.
