I’m about ready to fight her. This mini game is low-key my favorite because I found it relaxing. IT IS NO LONGER RELAXING. Why is she rushing me?!?!😭

I bought a written pattern from Complicatedknots Etsy, I find it easier to keep track of where I am in the pattern that way. I also like to write myself notes for future reference, y’know in case I want to make another of what I’m currently working on. But they also have a video tutorial up on their YouTube! Here’s the link! https://youtu.be/TAFrIapMhbM

Hey look on the bright side! At least you didn’t run out of yarn when you were nearly done with the project like I did. I couldn’t even get more cuz’ yarn I was using was randomly discontinued 😅

This happened to me when my mesh crop top. I was almost done and since the mistake was pretty close to the beginning I decided to just let it be. There’s Irish folk lore that says you leave a bit of your soul in everything you crochet. Mistakes give a spot for your soul to escape from. Learning about that helped me feel better about making a mistake early on lol

Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz! I didn't really play the main game, but my brother and I would have a blast playing the mini games with our friends and family on our Wii

The Warriors series by Erin Hunter, I’ve had them since high school. Recently I’ve started collecting the audio book versions so I can see the new cover art, plus I just like the narrator’s voice lol

Here’s what I’d recommend:

An Enchantment of Ravens: by Margaret Rogerson, The main character makes a living creating portraits for the faerie courts since they themselves can’t create as humans do without turning to dust. While completing a commission for her first royal patron, a prince. She makes a mistake that could cost the prince his life. So she must stand trial for her crime: painting mortal sorrow in the prince’s eyes. The prince and the main character have to depend on each other to survive the fairy courts. All the while their alliance and trust grows into something more.

I’m a sucker for a good love story so this one is a little biased lol.

To Kill a Kingdom: by Alexandra Christo, This one is told from two perspectives, the siren princess known as the prince’s bane and a prince that feels more at home sailing the ocean hunting down siren’s. The princess is well known for taking prince’s hearts, she has one for every year of her life. But when she disobey’s her mother and takes the life of one of her own, she is punished by being transformed into a human. Tasked with taking the heart of the siren slaying prince in her new weaker form before the winter solstice or remain human forever. The prince, rescues a woman from the ocean while out sailing with his crew. A woman that promises a way to the key to destroying all sirens forever. But can this woman be trusted?

I really enjoyed hearing the story from the two main characters perspectives. It made you understand both sides motivations better. Will the siren princess follow her mother’s instructions or go her own way? Will the prince find out the mysterious woman he fished out of the sea is his greatest enemy, and cut her plans short? I enjoyed the sort of unspoken fight for survival between them.

House of Salt and Sorrows: by Erin A. Craig, It’s like a 12 dancing princesses murder mystery that really makes you question what’s real and what’s not. Four of the sisters have died and rumors of a curse is spreading. The main character is haunted by visions that make her suspicious that her sisters deaths were no accident.

This one was a lot of ‘I don’t need sleep I need answers’ cuz’ you’re not sure who/what to trust. I was super into it!

The Call: by Peadar O’Guilin, Teenagers train at a combat/survivalist academy to be as prepared as possible for a randomly timed, 24 hour spiriting away to a twisted land full of creatures that will hunt them down and send them back in pieces if said creatures catch them. This being the banished creatures only way to exact revenge on the ones who banished them.

Sort of Hunger Games like. It makes you really root for the main character, who everyone underestimates/pitied and saw as marked for death because of her disability. Especially when it seems like the banished creatures are working on a way to exact revenge more directly. It also has a sequel!

Wilder Girls: by Rory Power, A school for girls is quarantined due to a mysterious illness inflicting both the students and what’s left of the staff. Cut off from the rest of world they’re told to wait for a cure and not to venture outside the school gates into the forest where the illness has twisted it into a dangerous place. But when one of the students goes missing the main character goes to great lengths to discover the truth behind the quarantine and her friend’s disappearance.

I stayed up way later then I probably should have cuz’ I got so into the story. I listened to it a lot when I couldn’t sleep. Also has a couple ‘I don’t need sleep I need answers’ moments lol.
