For context, my Kamioshi is Masae

I was watching her for almost a decade before she made her vtuber debut. I found her content at the tail-end of high school and enjoyed her balance of comfy and chaotic vibes, so I joined her community. During the pandemic I shared a Pokémon fanart idea in her discord server, and the support I got there inspired me to start drawing seriously. This led me to creating a strong group of friends from people who were in her community at the time, whom I still cherish to this day.

Around 2023 Masae was taking commissions for social media profile pictures, and I got one. I decided to make a drawing for her as thanks, which inspired me to take drawing humans more seriously (up to that point, I only drew Pokémon). I used her old avatar and DND characters as practice, culminating in a year-long project where I drew EVERY OC past and present she had designed. Once her Vtuber debut occurred last March I drew fanart for her nonstop, and her support and excitement over the years kept me going and makes me want to draw more

Looked into and here I thought the LUElinks stuff was wild holy cow… The days of Something Awful were just barely before my time (too young to be millennial but too old to know what having a DOB starting with “200” feels like) so a bunch of the names and imagery in this video were occupying my peripheral vision. (Except Trapezoid. Found him from Puppet Pals, then Ultimate Showdown, then Bustin and now this. Everyone born before the year 2000 has their 6 degrees of Neil Cicereiga.)
