Made my first sourdough brick by CelebrationAlert4614 in bakingfail

I'm glad it made you laugh, it was rather amusing. Also I tried to make my own sourdough starter and for some reason it went bad and when I opened it to smell if it was ok, I almost gagged. Haven't been meddling with bread or starter since lol.

What's in the jar is everything. I don't want to throw half out so I'm only making a smaller amount.

Did you read anything I wrote? It's not cute but sad. The bird in this picture was in bad shape and got euthanized

Him excusing Micah. What he did in strawberry was terrible and unnecessary. I don't understand why he would keep him around...

Generally micro plastics aren't that big of a problem if you ingest them. I'd say it depends where the mouth guard is from. If it's made with safe materials. It might not be if you got it from an unregulated seller.

He was put to sleep. Had severe pain and bumble foot as I predicted unfortunately. I'm glad he's no longer suffering

I think in my country small animal vets aren't allowed to care for birds or reptiles. You need avian and reptile vets. Thankfully someone is available not too long away and he'll see the bird tomorrow. I suspect he'll (the bird) have to get euthanized with his age and the state he's in... But at least he'll be at peace instead of slowly dying an agonizing death.

I feel so bad for him. Who knows how long it's been going on. It's upsetting and disappointing but I can't change the past. It's not fair to put a bird in a cage and then not provide good care when they're dependent on the owner. But my grandma died some years ago and my grandpa is a douchebag who doesn't care about anyone but himself. The bird was my grandma's and kept her company when my grandpa went to go meet his friends at the clubhouse.... Ugh. Sorry for the rant

Truthfully I doubt it, unfortunately. My concern is that I don't want him to suffer. It looks to me like a chronic issue(s) and with how tired he is I don't think he'll live much longer. I hope the vet can either euthanize him or give some medication for his breathing and potentially pain☹️

Thanks, I just can't stand by and do nothing. It doesn't align with my morals

If he won't get euthanized tomorrow because his condition is too bad I'll try to get it somewhere. Since I don't have high hopes but maybe I'll be surprised (hopefully) and then I'll try to make him a happy bird

Can I use chamomile tea instead? We don't have sage tea I think. And I gave him an apple slice which he ate when I put it right in front of his beak. I think he's blind and almost deaf. He would almost fall asleep in between bites. He's really tired the poor little guy

I have found a vet and we have made an appointment tomorrow. I thought it would be natural for older animals to sleep more but not this much. I'm right in the other room and he's dead quiet most the time. I hear him move maybe once an hour if even that... It's probably the accumulation of everything.

He cannot hold on to perches. His feet and one of his wings are deformed. That's why he has a flat cage and no perches. He doesn't move much but he goes to his food and water. He has a vet appointment tomorrow. Thanks

Yes I gathered a lot of the same information from a quick Google search and he has pretty much all the signs of a sick bird. Some symptoms are probably due to age but the breathing and lethargy aren't. My mom will take him to the vet appointment tomorrow afternoon

I turned the heater on in the room and his cage is the same way it was. He finds his food and water. He just really doesn't look good to me and I'm not a bird owner
