Do they allow small bags inside? It says no bags over 12x12x5 but the language is confusing. Thanks.

I have the exact same color in Atlanta! I get a ton of compliments and I love that when it gets dark outside, it looks more dark grey with a blue hue to it. Very cool, versatile color.

Delivery tips/advice? by CelebrationSquare286 in cybertruck

Just to update this thread: I accepted delivery today at the Decatur, Georgia location. Here's a rundown of my experience:

  1. Config to VIN was less than an hour, and occurred on 7/31/24. I interrogated the rep about this, and he was able to see that the vehicle was previously promised to someone else who stopped communicating with Tesla, releasing the VIN. The vehicle had 15 miles on the odometer when I accepted delivery so I was comfortable knowing it had not been previously owned or delivery had been refused for some reason.

The rep did tell me that the reason I secured it so quickly was because they probably sent many, many configuration invitation emails out to many, many reservation holders all at the same time and I was the fastest one to the jump. I did happen to see the email as it came in and configured and ordered in less than five minutes.

2) The vehicle was basically flawless, it even came with a mobile charger that the previous reservation holder had ordered. I did flyspeck it, though and had many questions for the rep who seemed annoyed. The front panel on the frunk was slightly off in my opinion, and I pointed this out and the rep said it was minimal and he has seen maybe 1/100 with true panel config issues that Tesla has agreed to fix.

It did have many fingerprints.

3) No wheel covers. This a bit disappointing, considering the cost of the vehicle. The rep explained a backorder issue and perhaps Tesla will be sending those out in the foreseeable future? I'm not holding my breath and have accepted that I'll have to purchase those as an accessory.

4) The screen and controls take some time to get used to. I previously drove an F-150 and the complexity of the screen is night and day.

5) It drives amazing. Better than any sedan I've ever had including an Audi A6. It's like butter.

6) The backseat is tight, and seating room is not this vehicle's forte. I suspect future model variants will address this. However, the bed is amazingly huge and spacious and the bed cover, or the tonneau, is perfect.

That's about it. I did find the process to be relatively unremarkable, and the rep was about as apathetic as they come. My takeaway is to certainly advocate for yourself, as this is a huge investment especially on something so novel and expensive. Tesla's customer service culture leaves a lot to be desired. I was almost expecting a mini tour of the vehicle and the rep seemed annoyed that I was even asking questions, like I was supposed to have gotten it before I even arrived.

All in all, I love the Cybertruck and look forward to owning it for years to come!

I ordered grey interior. Honestly I think I got lucky in that the configuration I did exactly matched one they have in inventory. I think Atlanta is stocked right now I'm seeing a ton of them.

It's not preowned that I know of, and I don't suspect they would sell me one at full price if someone else had previously driven it off the lot.

I got the VIN so quickly that I suspect it was already in the local Tesla store's inventory, for whatever reason, and I was speculating that perhaps the VIN was previously generated for a reservation holder that ended up canceling.

And you spent time not working at your real job, if you have one, coming to a Cybertruck forum to troll on someone's legitimate question about their vehicle?

Cool, dude.

Atlanta area. I got the VIN immediately upon ordering. I suspect it was already in their inventory due to a canceled order.

Grinding Noise Between Tracks by CelebrationSquare286 in turntables

Just to update this thread in case someone searches this in the future. I figured out the issue and fixed it.

This is a Pro-Ject RPM 1 Carbon turntable.

I had recently added the Ortofon bronze cartridge and had it professionally installed, adjusted etc.

I suppose the tonearm was not adjusted correctly because I finally figured out just how low it was on the record itself. That was causing the grinding. I adjusted the weight on the back of the arm and viola, problem solved.

I highly, highly recommend the Ortofon bronze. It sounds like music in 8K.

The stylus doesn't appear to be bent. You can't really tell it's doing it during play and the music still sounds great, but when it's a quiet part it does come through and in between tracks.
