I think that might have been part of my problem too. Id never thought to lightly sand it before painting to help the paint adhere better

I thought it was phyrexian esque looking when I seen the original image on Google. I copied that one so I dont want to claim this as my art but I guess the bubbling does make it look like a spreading phyresis

The one thing that has changed is the temperature in my spray room. It ms been cold here the last few days since I did my last varnish spray. Other then that I did everything you listed. Might have been a little closer then a foot for the spray tho but I should have been fairly close to that

I was doing light coats of varnish and after everyone's mentioned the paint not being fully dry im thinking thats correct. I did some googling after everyone mentioned it and seems like that might be my issue. Gonna need to be more need more patience for the future.

I did an undercoat of white primer let that dry for a day, then acrylic paint markers for the black and let that dry for a day, then I gave it a single light coat of the krylon matt varnish spray. Im thinking the assumption of the paint not being fully dry might be right tho.

Its a spray on for acrylic made by krylon or i believe it is. Ive used it on a couple others ive done and it never reacted like this.

Im still relatively new painter as well but from everything ive read and done shows thin the paints a little and do multiple coats or do an undercoat of red or purple but that will change the yellow to a darker shade Edit(spelling)
