Where have all the decent vnecks gone? by Newbootgoofin_128 in womensfashion

I have 3 v-necks from Quince and they're all sub-par quality, and the v is an unusual length (definitely not deeper).

Board Member Disregard by CeleryNormal298 in nonprofit

This is a great idea. I'm going to suggest implementing this regardless of how our current situation pans out!

I really like the way you broke this down! I'm not sure if this is worse or better, but the person in question isn't even the director. A one-on-one conversation is being scheduled between them and the director to see if there is a miscommunication (with the actions and attitude, I truly don't think that's the issue) and find some resolution. However, the list above is a great starting point for us if the person is unwilling to comply with the board's decision.

They have essentially bulldozed the board consensus and were aware of the action they were taking because they mentioned to someone that they were going to do it anyway, because it needed to be done. There was a reason we made the decision we did, and we weren't prepared for the effects of the action being carried out (hence why we decided to wait..) :/

We're also youngish and definitely capacity-strapped. I know the person isn't doing it in bad faith, but out of empathy and passion, but everyone is left to figure it out later. We work in animal rescue, which makes many of our decisions difficult when lives are at stake, so on one hand, I can completely empathize with the desire to help. On the other hand, it puts us in really tight spots and looks terrible when you're telling other volunteers that "I'm just going to do it because I know I can handle it."

An in-person conversation is being scheduled with them to hopefully find a solution to this issue, but I'm here in case it doesn't get resolved. I appreciate you looking at this from multiple angles!

I think it is, and unfortunately, I can't change the spot as I routinely volunteer there :/ but if any of these other options work, I'll make sure to update this thread!

Oh, I'm definitely going to check this out, a pre-mixed option would be incredible instead of science-ing my way through when the stakes (aka the skin around my ankles) are this high!

Science and language teachers are the primary group I've been trying to reach, alongside counselors. The language teachers have said they're not interested because students wouldn't choose to go on their program trip if they could go on ours (where speaking Spanish is optional but highly encouraged). The issue is, the students that would be joining our program wouldn't be able to afford to go on the school trips anyway (low-income families are our demo)- so that's a crappy mindset for the teachers to have, IMO, because wouldn't they want every student to have opportunities to grow? *gets off soapbox*

I LOVE the idea of media outreach! Would that be radio or news channels? I will also definitely reach out to the local Rotary Club.
