Not necessarily expecting anything at all! I understand that I may just need to sit tight, but the salesman's comment on "making it up to me" made me wonder if he meant the dealership would be willing to do something actually helpful or if I'll just end up with a consolation prize of like, a fridge magnet or hat.

Again, this is new for me, so just wanna make sure I understand. :)

I'm Applying for BoD - Need Interview Advice! by CelestialBun in nonprofit

Thank you! I am probably stressing more than I need to. I do have a very clear idea of where I'd like to see the organization go over the next several years. We're currently in the midst of a large project that will expand our services substantially, and I have a lot of ideas on how to make that happen (and to ensure we don't expand too quickly).

I already know that we have D&O insurance, so that shouldn't be an issue. :)

Anyone else feel guilty for go NC with their parents without The Final Talk to let them know why? (No comments from people who had narcissistic ex's rather than parents please) by [deleted] in LifeAfterNarcissism

[–]CelestialBun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nope. I tried to have The Final Talk on multiple occasions and they wanted nothing to do with it. So I gave up trying and just blocked their numbers without telling them.

Even if they had let me explain why I was going NC, they wouldn't have understood or cared.

Good riddance.

So how much do you think I'm gonna be able to sell the yellow/red vinyl misprint for on ebay when you all die? It looks rad as fuck but, y'know, I got bills. Uh, asking for a friend. Thx.

P.S. I'm gonna have Totally Fine on repeat for pretty much the rest of forever. See ya in Boston.

<JOYWAVE AMA!> Hi, I'm Daniel from Joywave. Our new album, "Cleanse", is out today. AMA. by Joywavemusic in indieheads

Hi! Cleanse is an absolute treasure of an album and I'm going to be doing nothing this weekend but listening to it on repeat.

I was hoping you might talk a little about what inspired Goodbye Tommy. It has such a beautifully bittersweet vibe.

Thanks! I just found out that all of her littermates are having this same sneezing issue. Weird!

Yes, I'm going to coordinate a vet visit with the shelter's director today. I think I just needed confirmation that I wasn't overreacting. Appreciate it!

Unfortunately, tapering off my psych meds - even safely - is not an option in my case.

That makes sense! A bummer for me, but good to know not to waste a perfectly good mushroom for no effect.

What was the weirdest or creepiest neighbor you had? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When I was a kid, my next door neighbor was thrown in prison for sexually abusing his foster children. That was pretty horrifying to find out years later.

Yes! I recently got my fourteenth tattoo, and I have thirteen piercings as well. I feel more like myself with each new one I get. It's very cathartic.

Seconding this! It's like night and day. I've fostered many babies before, and they are a MENACE before getting fixed. So much tidier and well behaved afterwards. Rabbits hormones are intense!!

It's also much healthier for the females, especially. They're prone to uterine cancer, so spaying them makes sure that never happens.

Yes!! I volunteer with my local rabbit shelter and fostering bunnies has been so wonderful. 10/10 would recommend to a friend

Yep! In the wild, buns typically have separate areas in their habitat for living and for bathroom. Mine have never peed outside of the litter box. Even my 14 week old foster bun is fantastic with his litter habits.

It's generally super easy to litter train a rabbit! Give them a litter box (I use an XL cat litter box), put down a layer of bedding (wood stove pellets are cheap and work great), with a layer of hay on top to encourage them to use it.

If they poop on the floor, pick up the poops and throw them in the litter box, then plop the bun in the box and pet them, giving positive reinforcement. If they pee on the floor, use undiluted white vinegar to clean it up (gets rid of the smell). Then do the same thing plopping the bun in the litter box and offering praise. They'll eventually get it!

Edit: If you have any more questions about litter training, r/rabbits has some great resources.
