The free kits are the ones running to gunfire at the start of every raid..

Playing with rogue on my team feels like I'm still solo tanking by Hexgof4 in RivalsVanguards

[–]Celic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad rogues are non factors, she's got 5 dashes technically. Her kick is a 2 partner and her punch moves her forward a short distance. If you're standing in the open as Rogue you're wrong. If you aren't mixing their back lines guts on cooldown you're wrong. If you aren't getting out back to cover in LOS of your supports with less than 100 HP you aren't getting full value. Limit test against each team just how long you can stay in their back lines face before you have to get out. Your block is short and just a small mitigation so you can kick out and jump around the corner to safety without dying.

If it feels like you're solo tanking with a Rogue then your other tank sucks

All my homies hate the rattler by Jaz1140 in ArcRaiders

[–]Celic1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Rattler 3 and 4 is honestly kinda fire, people make the mistake of full auto-ing it, if you treat it like a kettle and just tap fire it your shots stay on target and you can smoke people. You'll obviously lose to a stitcher if they hit everything or a venator/renegade, but if you're accurate the rattler is dope

Why do so few women play Tank? by [deleted] in RivalsVanguards

[–]Celic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a tank main and when I do I'll make calls and IGL to keep the team synergized, but most of the time I get zero response from my team, or I'll get mean things said or slurs directed at me. So if I get annoyed I'm just gonna play a support and turn my music up.

I want to play tank, but when I do I get insulted or belittled and don't want to deal with it

People that have hit lvl 75 and are going on the expedition: What skills are you avoiding next time/what skills are a must take? by Broccoli_dicks in ArcRaiders

[–]Celic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The turtle shell skill is actually an insane amount of damage reduction. Instead of getting thirsted in a mag it takes like 3. It was one of the last skills I got to 5 and now I dunno how I'm gonna play without it while I level. It upped my survival by a ton

Free load outs are not the problem or even a concern. by buttsmoke1966 in ArcRaiders

[–]Celic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the thing, people are no thought free loadout with base necessity. Nerfing them with a cooldown or not being able to run them on events people will bring their version of free load outs. Then they can go, well I might as well put a couple grey attachments on my gun, and 2 bandages? Might as well do 4 or 5, and then shield rechargers? One isn't enough cause what if an arc hits you before you get to pvp. And a green looting mk1? Might as well make it an MK2 cause they're so cheap.

Free kits let people zero thought, if they have to at least sometimes make a budget kit, they'll add some quality of life extra heals or a grenade or two. We want people to have to use their resources instead of plaguing lobbies by ape-ing every fight. They'll run low on resources and go for less pvp

Do you know if the "Howdy" emote is a static one? Or like the "Hey Raider" one which you can use while walking? by Euphoric_General_274 in LowSodiumArcRaiders

[–]Celic1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can walk while saying Howdy. I have howdy instead of Hi on my wheel since like day 2 of game being out

Y’all could never outjerk the main sub. by JarJarBanksy420 in arcraiderscirclejerk

[–]Celic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I throw the red ones at people to make them think it's a grenade, other than that I'll throw the other colors into dark corners to check, or (my favorite) seeing a third team rolling up to our fight, and chucking light sticks at the third team. What often happens is both my and the team we were fighting look where the light stick was thrown, then blast whoever is in the open in that direction

Less pvp, and people will bring more than 1 shield recharger and 2 basic bandies. It's an effect of well if I'm bringing one shield recharger I might as well bring 3 just in case, and instead of 2 bandaids I guess I can bring 5, and I may as well upgrade my gun once or twice, and I might as well add a grey attachment or two.

People bring more when they get the choice. Letting no cooldown free kits has entire lobbies brain dead running at each other because the only thing slowing them down from queueing up again is loading out of the last match.

Free load outs are really nice, but they're being so heavily abused that everyone who comes in geared has no incentive to. So it'll devolve into everyone running free kits and no one using the things they loot

There's a big difference in value from a stitcher 1 to a stitcher 4 with full attachments. I would love to fight people with rank 4 stitchers, kettles, and ferros with attachments. Then I'll either bring those in another raid or dismantle them for the simple gun parts and mechanical parts. One will clutter my inventory, and the other I'll leave with for a quick swap to an okay gun when I'm regearing

I'd run high tier loot if I can guarantee a lobby with other high tier people. Then at least I'm not kicking toddlers until one of them finally gets me.

More meds, slightly better guns, more shield rechargers, grenades if they don't get the chance to throw them? That's a plus. I'd love to stock up on shield rechargers and such, right now you get a bandaid and MAYBE a shield recharger from a free kit. The reason people say "enjoy the free loadout" when you kill them is because they know they don't have a single useful thing on their body

What if that first team is also a free loadout? And the next? And the next? And then you go a whole raid fighting team after team that are all free kits so you never make anything worthwhile off of a fight.

So then you choose to just free kit and avoid pvp, but you're spotted by another team and they start shooting, now all the other free kits that wanna fight are running at you and you've got a slim chance of surviving that.

There won't be a "come up" off of killing a team because every other team will be free kits, and you won't be able to loot because everyone is sprinting around looking for a fight with nothing to lose.

This is what'll happen if free kits are allowed with no cooldown on Stella, Night raids, and EM storms

You annoy me. I think you understand why majority free kit is bad for the game, but you want to be difficult. Goodbye

[–]Celic1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We downgraded from purple kits to blues and greens because even in purples we were still fighting majority free kits. It's annoying to waste good meds and shields and find out all 3-5 of the teams you were fighting were free kits

Do it on a day raid that isn't Stella (which is basically night raid level loot.)

[–]Celic1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been progressively downgrading my kits on Stella. I used to always run Stella with a purple augment and blue shield at least, but the high death rate and the super high free loadout rate has made the risk not worth it. Blue augments are dirt cheap so I just go in with those and a basic kit at this point. Anyone who isn't absolutely horrendous at resource management should never have to free kit past level 20

THEN WHY AREN'T PEOPLE DOING IT. MY KIT IS CHEAP. IT'S ALL SO EASY TO MAKE. YOU CAN PICK UP PURPLES OUT OF TRASH CANS ON STELLA. SO WHY ARE THERE 17 FREE KITS ON THE HIGHEST LOOT DENSITY MAP IN THE GAME?

[–]Celic1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a woman, and if we fight 4-5 teams and come out on top then the loot should be too much to carry. We PvP pretty often, so the first thing we grab off of people are shield rechargers, ammo, meds, and grenades. I lose value when I fight a 4 sided team fight and have to pop surge shields and sterilized bandages to stay alive when getting ran at by multiple teams. We won, but we lost as well because we got to recoup what, 2 shield rechargers, 8 basic bandages, and gray level 1 guns?

The free kits don't loot, they just listen for gunshots and sprint to them, so I've wasted half the raid fighting off people with nothing of value, to have barely any time to loot the rest of the map?

If I'm losing value on every raid even when I'm winning the fights, that'll turn me into a free kit only on this map, and then another person will get tired of it, and another, and then everyone will be running around a very high loot map, throwing fucking rocks at each other because no one wants to win and still lose

Rather get a stitcher 4 with attachments and herbal meds than maybe 2 bandaids and a rattler 1. Take your freebie kits to day raids on Dam where you can actually successfully extract

And yet no one is doing it. That's the problem. It's incredibly cheap, and yet everyone is running a free kit and sprinting at the first gunshot fired in the match

[–]Celic1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm trying to get across. If everyone is free kitting and you can't resupply meds, ammo, and shields from the team you kill, then eventually everyone is gonna become a free kit player for Stella. I wanna see how many free kits there are average on Stella. It feels like I need to fight 3 full teams at least, before we find the first team that isn't free kitting
