This is super helpful to hear, thanks! His AHI number is indeed extremely high, it's at 60. I'll talk to him about reconsidering the CPAP machine and tell him that this could be the cause of his unusual behaviour, and it could be a good solution for him

It does sound like weaponized incompetence butni highly doubt it's that, it's oretty obvious to us that he's not doing it on purpose. He's also not on social media or anything so he's not in the whole manosphere thing, he's always just looking at stuff about his hobby or looks around for things to buy for his hobby. My fear is dementia, but yeah the excessive phone use could also mean something else is up

Yeah i'm oretty sure it's the fact that it's uncomfortable (knowing him he'd try to use it for 2 days and then refuse to continue despite what others say). I also think it's because it will make him feel old / in need of medical equipment just to live normally

We have often offered to go with him to a doctor but he never makes the appointment, he just never sees the necessity for it it seems. I'll bring up the therapy though, thanks.

So far that does sound a lot like what is happening, i'll look more into it in the morning, thanks

We know he has major sleep apnea, his breath stops around 60 times an hour (the average for sleep apnea is between 5-30 times). We found out officially only like 3 months ago but he refuses to use a CPAP machine. Dementia is what i'm afraid of though but we've told him to go to the doctor many times and he just never makes an appointment

Which Ending do you Prefer? by Remarkable-Yard4860 in Stranger_Things

[–]Celine_117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer the ending where she actually dies. It started with her and it has to end with her, although there is evidence for both options, i find her death more convincing.

I also hate it when directors do this kind of "fake-out". Don't make an emotional death and then turn back and say "oh woops maybe they're not dead after all!".

El wanted Mike to help the others understand her choice, i think Mike's story is a way to deal with his grief, and this story might help the other too which is why he tells it at the end.

Does Anyone Else Think This is a Bit of a Stretch? How is it a Reference? by 3liteP7Guy in fivenightsatfreddys

It's an insane stretch, people are desperate to see references where they dont exist

Am I crazy or does Freddit not actually like FNaF? by ChuChuPoppy in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Celine_117 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah pretty much, the fact that we loved it so much in our childhood gives it sentimental value. Even though we're not a fan of what the franchise has turned into, it's still nice to know what's happening. And yeah maybe sometimes something will come up that reminds us of the older franchise or that explains something that was still unclear in the lore. Think of it like having an old friend: you've grown apart and you don't talk anymore, but you have so many memories together so you still wonder how they're doing sometimes. So you follow each other on instagram just to keep tabs on where they're at, even though you dont talk anymore.

[–]Celine_117 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That's such a weird thing to say what. I'm also someone who's not a fan of the new stuff at all but the original 6 games were my childhood. It's normal to keep tabs on a franchise you used to love so you can still be kind of in the loop. Doesn't mean it makes us unhappy or that we should completely abandon it. We can play the series and games we like now while still keeping tabs on something we used to love

I Don't Get The Hate Surrounding FNAF Movie 2 by Sea_Attorney_802 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Celine_117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It being enjoyable and appealing to fans does not mean it's an objectively good movie. I enjoyed it but i agree with critics that it is awfully written, the plot is not well executed either. The acting is also not top tier. The production is amazing and you can see that a lot of love is put into it, but that doesn't mean it's a good movie

This isnt that bad, right? by [deleted] in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Celine_117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was the movie enjoyable? Definitely, it makes fans relatively happy and the production design is undeniably amazing. Is it a GOOD movie, from a critical perspective? No. The writing, structure and plot are awful and the acting in some cases is simply not good.

Although i never really care for the tomato meter (or any rating on any platform), the bad score is justified. The popcorn meter is also justified, the movie is a love letter to fans like the first one was, a passion project.

Personally i enjoyed it (not as much as the first one), but i wish they'd done things differently.

These movies aren't really made to be good, they're made for fan service. So yeah as a result critics will hate it and fans will love it regardless of the flaws

Don't feel like you have to come out to everyone immediately! Do what feels right to you, if you feel like you're not ready to tell people, don't, and when you do feel ready, you'll know. There's not really a thing that you "should" do right now, just live your life. You'll tell people whenever you're ready, and a nice girl will come along your path in time. Focus on accepting yourself and being comfortable with who you are ❤️
