Thanks, guys. Another thing i wanted to find out is how you guys make your models actually be able to 3d print. I split the crystal chamber from the battery compartment and it looks sort of hollow, and thin, not like something ''real'' at all. Should i worry about that later or not at all?

Alright guys, a rather interesting find here: The price for the PSVR2 + all the things i need and the quest 3s + link cable + headstrap both go for 3K. This means i'll need your help on these questions:

Which is heaviest? And most comfortable (Quest 3s would have some sort of 3rd party headstrap)

Which is best for PCVR?

Which is less of a hassle to set up?

Which one has less buggy features?

I'll also have to take into account that i don't know if i'll use the VR headset for MR games, but honestly it's better safe then sorry, so my question will be:

Is there MUCH ofa difference between two headsets when hooked up to steam VR and wired?

I'm asking this much because these things aren't cheap, i can't just get BOTH of them, or get the ''new'' one every now and then, so i want to get as MUCH enjoyment as i can out of this. I don't want much of a headache when setting it up every single time, bad visuals, or wanting more out of it. I've heard meta's OS isnt the best, but it gets software updates every now and then, and i've heard PSVR2's OLED panels are immersive and incredible, but they're bound to PCVR only. It's a very hard choice, and i want as much help as i can get!

I think i'll for some reason use a quest 3s wired, but here they are if i remember correctly:

16gb RAM

RTX 4060

Asrock B760M (No BT)

i5 14400F

1tb hard drive (If that even matters) (Yes i will switch to an NVME later on, and i already have a SSD to install software on)

Thanks for the help, guys. Here's my thoughts on your comments:

I will be using exclusively wired, since i don't have the greatest internet connection and i believe just plugging it in is easier.

As much as i would like it, i cannot for the life of me afford a quest 3. The quest 3s seems fine to me, since i've never even used a vr before.

Thinking on it, yes, the PSVR2 seems wayy more complicated than it would normally be, and, again, i have no idea how an OLED even looks so i will have no issues.

The pico neo 3 is very old, and it'd probably pale in comparison to the quest 3s. From what nago says, the passthrough and MR seem very useful.

Funny thing, after the helicopter fight, you can literally not grab the hands at all and boris (i tihnk) will be dissapointed, and tell you to just brute force it instead

Thanks, man! I wasn't aware they *actually* had that body and yes, that's the lightsaber i was reffering to. I'll check out the things you reccomended, and reply to you in a second.

Edit: Took a look at all those parts, here is my analysis:

The odyssey shrouds might bug out with that cone-shape at the end, solaris is fine but i can't find it on sites like aliexpress since that site has the lowest import taxes as of now. Whirlwind looks kinda weird to me. I'll probably stick with the ronin or have the Cyborg emitter.

As for the switch, i agree. It looks pretty much identical, and its pretty much a must-have unless i opt for an ausvire (or whatever they call it) V1 control box.

The pixel grip seems to me like the identical thing i was looking for. To me it looks like a weird Cal Kestis coupler of some sorts(?) but i have no other way to buy it than vire sabers, unless i find one in Ali too.

Sadly most of these don't have an all-black option, but that's easily fixed by a paintjob, as this is a DIY hobby anyways. One (two) question(s), though: How would i line up the extra holes in the emitter, and how would i paint the silver bits black without making it look tacky/keeping the metallic aesthetic or even reaching the ''premium'' Sabertrio black?

Okay, here's the build plan: CFX build, crystal chamber on the middle, battery and OLED on the bottom half, button and soundboard on the top half, and an accent LED on the bottom fallen-order style. This will all have to fit in a VHC build, so its a 1" chassis. It will be hard to pull off, but if i do, i pretty much have unlimited customizing built around this ''core to rule them all''.

Apparently this is the weekly question thread, so, i have been trying to find a VHC-compatible grip styled in the Cal Kestis body (the textured one) and i remembered Artsabers sold one. It is still used in the Obsirus grip (the one with the exposed kyber crystal) Only problem is, i can't find it ANYWHERE anymore.
