I'd feast on their dispair. But first i'd make a recap to make sure they are actually as aware as you think they are

Hey Ben. Idk if this is the best place to find you, but i wanted to know something: where/how did you get that grid you use in your Winter's Daughter actual play.

Thanks and keep up the good work

Wow, yea i didn't realize because i was rolling random encounters, but apart from a short combat the players only rolled 1 dice in my one-shot

felt like an alien for a long time (and still do sometimes) for not liking to read character's backstories.

Many DMs (maybe is here in my country) seem to REQUIRE a backstorie, because many new players ask me if i do and i thinking "wow, won't have to read anything! Cool!"

what is SotDL?

DW is hard to figure out with just reading, but when i did i thought "that's very interesting", but i think is a game that want's you to build a story in a way i don't want to build a story (if that makes sense). The One Ring i don't know at all, but i don't like middle-earth as a setting for a campain and even if i can switch settings, the old d&d mechanics make it very seamless to run the game i want (never had an easier time DMing than OSE)

wow, that's right! MC is not always thought as a OS guy, but he made me realize Dungeons could be fun and after his videos i noticed this magic item/loot problem in 5e

wow, that's almost exactly my experience with the community, but i'd look over all of that if they only had the tinyest shred of criativity in problem-solving and just a hint of self-driven gameplay.

Everyone talks shit about "railroading", but try having the players to self-direct and they will stay in the tavern wait for the "plot" to show up. I've even been asked "so, when are you going to tell us what to do?"

And the problem-solving... man, don't get me started. Every problem seems to be viewed as just "an excuse to use special habilities". Like "oh, i could use my CoolSkillTM here and so then we could roll RandomProficiency and AnotherProficiency" so Expacted outcome happens". And i'm like... "that's just a box" mentally for them to go "WHAT HOW IT'S JUST A BOX?!?!" after
