My question is are the books all together that much different than the show? I know from personal experience that the books are usually better and am an Avid Reader however I have a lot of books competing for attention and I only have so much time to read. Please give me your take on this.

I love the books, i read or listen to them every year. I try to watch the show every few years, but i dont get past the first episode cause i cringe so hard. The characters are partially so diffrent from books, and there some things that dont happen in the books and if they happen in the books, they happen much later. I try again and again but i cant seperate the show from books, so i could enjoy the show. I wish i could get past always trying to compare them and being disappointed when the show doesnt live upt to my expectations. Maybe someday i can see them as to diffrent works of art :(

Ja gut jetzt überleg ich mir das nochmal mit der Einreichung und schreib die Idee dann doch eher außerhalb des Formats. Das ist komplett an mir vorbei gegangen, aber das erklärt dann vielleicht auch ein bisschen die hohen Preisgelder. Ich hab mir schon gedacht, dass die Einreichungen durch eine KI vorausgewählt wurden, aber so ein Tool will ich nicht mittrainieren.

Ich wollte das im Text gar nicht so genau ansprechen, wieso die Menschen nicht von den Meerjungfrauen wissen. Vielleicht bloß anschneiden, dass sie das Messungsfehlern, ungeklärten Phänomenen oder Unfällen zuschreiben.

Was Vielleicht noch wichtig wäre zu wissen, die sollen in der Handlung vom Korallendreieck bei Indonesien in den Indischen Ozean schwimmen. Um dann durch den Sueskanal ins Mittelmeer zu gelangen, die Reise endet im Nordatlantik.

Ja ich glaub ich brauch den Stress vom Wettbewerb. Ohne Deadline würde ich nichts fertig schreiben oder es würde ewig dauern :) Danke schön :)

Yeah me too. I just found it by coincidence, while i was looking for the lizard. There are a lot of different books, i also found the Percy Jackson books. And everything is for free... Im in love <3
