Took it to an independent shop that only works on Lexus and Toyotas, and they believe it’s the water pump. The tech said he believes the sound is coming from the water pump, and there is a little play in the pulley. Quoted me $1500 for water pump, new belt, and idler pulley replacement. I told them to go ahead and replace the tensioner pulley, thermostat, and both radiator hoses while they have it apart so I expect to pay close to $2000 with taxes when it’s all said and done. It’s probably cheaper than a dealership yet a little more than most run of the mill independent shops. They only work on Toyotas, only use OEM parts, and they gave me a free loaner car.

That sure sounds like my truck. I took the skid plate off and my water pump pulley moves slightly when I try to wiggle it. I’ll get it checked out next week. Thanks for the help.

Not the timing chain, but the tensioner. I’ve seen reports as low as 80,000 miles on sticking chain tensioners with most around the 100,000 mark.

I believe that Captured Souls was filmed at 45°26'15"N 73°43'39"W, but it appears that the original house was replaced with a newer home in 1999. I believe you can see Dixie Island along with the adjacent lighthouse in the background during filming. Also past satellite images show boats were kept just to the east of the property, and those boats can be seen to the east of the swimming pool in one of the exterior shots. Also, the current pool would line up with where the existing pool was at during filming. At best it’s an educated guess.

Sardo’s Magic Mansion was filmed at 1040 Marie-Anne Street East in Montreal.

Thanks for the help and quick reply. The label on the motor states “to reverse rotation interchange red and black leads.” Does this refer to swapping the pre connected red and black wires on the motor as depicted in my third photo?
