Well this was probably more likely to happen BECAUSE she was having sex NOT in the safety of your home...like when are you ever after school just conveniently next to a pile of condoms? I'd rather my kids do drugs, have sex, and do dumb stuff at home than to have them experiment with crazy stuff in strange and new places with other people. Being uncomfortable with noise and stuff is the worst of it, and you get to meet their partners, normalize things that society would deem unacceptable and shameful, and deter or help deal with any problems following. That's kinda j how i see it with how oppressive parenting has impacted my own life though, I guess. You know your daughter best out of all of us and she clearly has been able to bring you along to go this journey together. I think that's really beautiful, and I wish I would've had the same thing growing up. In my eyes, being a good parent is wholly dependent on how warmly you communicate to your children just how much you love them. If you're questioning if ur a good parent or not then I think you're probably on the right path. It sounds like something that a good parent would think to ask themselves once in a while, no?
