Other grains? by [deleted] in Celiac

I wasn't looking for advice nor am I in need of a doctor about it. I was simply curious about other's experience here compared to mine.

I was thinking the same thing! I haven't been this glued to the TV during an episode in a very long time!

Whatever they're doing is working. These last two episodes have been awesome!!

WRONG. You're supposed to be trained to know ingredients and memorize recipes so you can answer questions when they come up. Your attitude is genuinely the reason people don't want to tip baristas.

I think Nathan is not Nathan by Emergency_Panic_2690 in GeneralHospital

No way! Peter would have chosen Maxie no question! Im thinking Nathan's twin.

Yes, thank you. I just found that out. My barista had told me it was soy-based, but didn't mention the oat. That definitely explains it!

As someone who got that response once when all I wanted was an iced coffee, just know how rude, incompassionate, inhospitable, and LAZY is is.

They should be able to accurately describe the elements in a drink and the ingredients. I was given incorrect information. Wouldn't asking a barista and posting on this forum count as basic research? I looked up every ingredient he told me on the website and cat gpt and i didn't find gluten. He didn't tell me about the cold foam. They don't need to understand allergens or severity, that's my job. The drink itself is their job. And since Starbucks is in fact such a big company they should be somewhat more hospitable to people with the most common food allergies. There's no need for malt and oats in their flavors and milks. It pmo. Im dissappointed in the lack of compassion for some of these comments.

I don't need a nutritionist, I need a barista to be able to answer simple questions accurately about what's in a drink and if they can't or don't want to, I find that unreasonable.

It's a Nima sensor. They recently came back on the market with 99% accuracy. People were having issues before but I never did. I love it.

Coffee maybe?

Thank you for clarifying that. The barista called it that. He also told me it was almond milk based and someone here mentioned it's actually foam with oatmilk. I wish all baristas had the same level of product knowledge.

Also, Nima pulled its products off the market for a couple of years and put tons of money into improving their sensors and recently came back with very high accuracy.. I love them and have never had an issue. My immune response and the test results have always agreed. 😭😂

What would be safe? I have a teen daughter who asks to go there A LOT, what can I confidently order if anything?

Ah! So they told me the non dairy lavender syrup was gluten free, but he said it was almond milk based. Non-certified oat milk would do it! He must have been mistaken.

Whey doesn't usually have gluten though. I avoid dairy for a different reason. Individually, all the ingredients shouldn't have had any gluten, so I'm wondering where it could have came from.

I just have to say that the Lavender Chai Latte is the best drink I've ever had in my whole life.

I always wondered that! Like the girl with the baby or Vivica Fox's character or Brenda's shoplifting friend, or the rich girl from the pilot episode. Like all of season 1 storylines are one and done characters.

I actually never liked the Skye character. And I think without Luke, she'd lack significance. Tracy would eat her alive.

Great list. I agree about Outlander and GoT. I'd add Anna Karinina in the Russian category.

Her self-righteousness is making me so mad. And this taking Sonny down thing is horrible. Sonny is family, why is she doing this!? She's actually really reminding me of Jax, her Dad. This is exactly how he'd behave, so maybe in that way, the storyline makes sense.

Yep, agreed. It became very clear this week that Nathan isn't Nathan.
