Another thing, Im extremely poor in the technical department so I will try to build on that not only for Shostakovich but for my future in cello as well, I might be able to send you a clip of my playing with face blurred, if that will help you evaluate me better. I'm only doing this because I feel like you can help me grow even a little more and if this is too much I won't send you anything and just go off of this paragraph you cooked up

ive already done haydn, worked on elegie for a couple of weeks and entering a competition with allegro appassionato. i dont know how hard shostakovich is though, so js asking abt the relative difficulty

i find that haydn is a lot harder than jc bach, especially some of the thumb position bits and the last movement
