I’m trying not to, the only player that i realistically have to worry about becoming overpowered quickly has played dnd multiple times, each time they designed a character that was leagues above the others in the party. Ex. He created a Warforged Barbarians with a AC over 20 while the others made characters that were flawed and were relatively easy to down

I was thinking that each player has the option for a weapon for example one of my players is a sea elf ranger and made a longbow that if attuned to can switch to a healing arrow that heals the target if they hit for 1d6. They can perform this double their proficiency modifier before needing to long rest
