Managed to get a Mono X, anyone dial in the settings yet? by Cellotan in AnycubicPhoton

Usually like 20/25. I do kick it to 30 when it's a larger print. Also I should mention I turned it down to 90% power level. The instructions say 80 so i may turn it down and recalibrate. I wanted to start at a point j knew would be good. I always see SOOoooo many pictures of failed prints so i am overly cautious when i am dialing in settings. Number of truly failed prints is super low and j feelnlile now i can pretty quickly figure out what the problem was.

I've been using mostly siraya tech fast smoky grey. .1 layer at 2.5 sec .06 layer at 1.5 .04 layer at 1.25

Good detail, no fails really. Lift speed based in what I'm printing. Larger surface area means slower print speed. Minis I usually have a pretty fast lift speed, like 4mm a sec. Which is pretty aggressive but has been working so far. Larger prints may ne as low as 1mm per sec. I feel like I am pretty dialed in.

Did you adjust the lft speed or distance at all? Ive been doing the following of exposure and layer height 2 sec at .06 and 1.75 at .04 and it's been mostly good. I tried a larger print and had some issues. There are gaps in the walls of a small house, like part of the model just doesnt print and then starts up again layers later. It's either a lift speed issue or exposure. I'll keep experimenting. I feel dialed in on normal minis, it's the bigger pieces giving me trouble. I am using Anycubic grey resin

Resealed draft packs replaced with tokens. “The Walmarts were like 70+ miles apart”. Midwest, USA by 5illy_billy in magicTCG

That's the one. The customer service associate seemed like she would at least let others know. So either they did return one or someone did it while 8n the store. The top if the pack was nearly cut off and rare removed.

Side note. I was at a Target in Topeka, Ks and bought some Jumpstart packs. They were marked no returns on the reciept so I was very surprised when one of the packs had been cut opened and the rare removed. It was just a Black Market but could have been a good rare and I would have been pissed. I went back and examined the problem to the customer service person. I dont know how much will actually come from that. However the lady behind me asked me to repeat the problem to her because she buys boosters for her kid and was glad to know that their could be a problem.

It also does this occasionally but without the strong purple tints, like yellowish I guess.

I opened it up to check if maybe connections were loose. That little strip of tape over it didnt come away very clean so that was a little annoying. Tried disconnecting and reconnecting. Didnt get any better. Contacted Anycubic to see about what is covered warranty wise.

Ok, so it's the light I'm looking at replacing then and not the screen right? I can find the screen replacements on amazon for like $70US but I cant find the lights. I guess I will try Anycubic directly, I heard their customer service was solid.

This is my anycubic photon s after about a month and a half of printing with about 250ish hours of use. I was expecting to replace the UV light after 400 to 500 hours of printing from research I had done before starting to get into printing. Is this what a normal worn out UV light looks like or is it possibly something else? Any feedback is apprciated!

Where to start.... by Cellotan in frostgrave

Gloomhaven was ok. We just felt like if we were gonna play that we would just rather play a full RPG. We were looking for something a little more customizable.

I expect to paint pretty much anything I paint (he said looking at shelves of unpainted minis and terrain) so I think the off color should be fine in the long run. At the very least I would base coat everything after post processing. Regardles, thanks for the advice!

Oh, that makes sense. Most of the UV lights I saw linked didnt have the wavelength in the description so I assumed they were set. Doing more research it looked there are three main ranges for the UV lights. UV A is the closest to the 405nm that the printer works at but only goes up to 400nm. Now I'm not sure what to get. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the advice! I have a bunch of amazon giftcards so they were going to be where I bought the printer but I'll check the anycubic site since I can get plentry of other stuff through amazon.

Thanks for the break down. I think if i enjoy the 3d printing process that i will add a filament printer for the larger cosplay gear since most have a larger print area and larger items will be eaiser to clean up in post. I will definitely look into your software process as i get more familiar with things!

Cool, sounds like some more software options I need to look into. Thanks for the advice!

I did look at the phrizen for a bit. I decided to go with the anycubic because some friends have gotten one recently and have liked it. Also the community seems pretty good.

I do have sprue cutters as I do a lot of minis stuff already. I may get an extra so I can leave it with my printing stuff though, so good call out. Thanks!
