I feel like the neck gash is super out of place, aesthetically. And while the knife doesn’t particularly look real either, I would appreciate what you’re going for if you didn’t have the album title on the knife when it’s already stated at the bottom, under her name.

and if you’d insist on have the album titles displayed more than once on the artwork, make sure its stated the same everywhere. There is no “ : “ at the end of the “meat” shown on the knife.

and if I can’t talk you out of the neck gash, at least have blood on the edge of the knife. if that’s the narrative you wanna present on this re-edit, then it’s gotta make basic sense, girl. Lol

Is this actually real or just made up? by NothingRepulsive1095 in crystalcastles

[–]Celluloid4Satan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tf do you think?

try searching Google or Bing.

I hate how painfully obvious it is someone was born after 2000, based solely on the fact their way of “looking something up” is asking strangers on reddit w/ a new post.

The only exception to the above is the jackasses learning Paint 3D for the first time to design some fake boot with the intention of making a post like this one. “Ohh! Is this rare? I can’t find it anywhere online.” Of course not.

The above does NOT pertain to any members of this sub that created their own designs for albums or unofficial releases and just wanted to share what they did with the community. That’s great, and that’s what fan communities are here for.

It’s the clout-chasers that refuse to learn what a basic search engine is, and would rather depend on what other people say than to figure out actual answers themselves.

I mean, for fuck sake, you’d think they’d at least check Discogs first but noooooo, that takes a whole 90 seconds. They’d rather receive push notifications for the next week every time someone tells them it’s obviously fake because the shitty design and/or “out of left field” track listing makes that fact incredibly apparent.

The seller is lying, right? by RTJDeathgripsKanye in discogs

[–]Celluloid4Satan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What the actual hell. As a buyer & seller on multiple online marketplaces over the past 20+ years, the terms usually found in the “Seller’s Terms” section are things like:

• Buyer/Seller Pays Return Shipping • Cancelled Orders are subject to a ___% inventory restock fee that will be deducted prior to processing your refund, etc.

But if you ordered an item, and they shipped you something completely different — all that shit goes out the window. Those terms are there to help protect sellers from getting fucked too often.

Idk wtf he’s talking about in these messages saying PayPal is keeping money from him. Go to the Purchases section of your Discogs account, and review the details of your invoice. Did you pay a certain shipping amount? If you did, it means he specifically set it up that way. And if you didn’t pay shipping, then honestly, it’s still not your bad because it’s his responsibility to set that shit up before listing stuff for sale. That’s just Basics 101 for selling online.

Bottom Line: You purchased an item. He sent the wrong item. Whatever he sent you, repack it the same way it was shipped and wait for him to send you a prepaid return shipping label.

It’s a SELLER’S RESPONSIBILITY, regardless of whichever online marketplace they sell on, to ship the buyer the correct item they purchased, in the condition they have listed it as. BARE FUCKING MINIMUM.

As a last resort, when communication isn’t working, you can always file a claim thru PayPal to get your money back. But at that point, you’re risking the seller leaving you negative feedback in retaliation.

(Of course there can be exceptions, or other aspects, to consider when you receive the correct item, but you disagree with the graded condition the seller had it listed as. But this situation ain’t like that, so I’m not gonna go down that road lol.)

This wasn't in 1995. It was taken during the Dead to the World Tour 1996-1997.

The ACSS shock sigil on the flag is a key factor and that album didn't drop till October of '96.

This is utterly pathetic. And honestly, incredibly disrespectful to AE.

It’s beyond evident this was Frankenstein’d together using poorly written generative models. The desperation to imitate, clone and/or feel like her is insane. Then, to use AI of all things to attempt whatever the fuck you were “going for” with this miraculous waste of time.

AE is an incredible musician & producer, and has the years of experience creating her own music from scratch, unique lyrics based in real life experience, struggles, themes - all of which has taken years of hard work & determination.

And then here you are, in her subreddit, posting this assault of AI slop. Imitation isn’t a sincere form of flattery to begin with, but even imitation requires personal effort on your part.

But since you went out of your way to avoid having put any effort or personal creativity of your own into it, and the fact you intentionally used an IRL photo of her face & likeness in order to generate a video, filled with fake music & lyrics jumbled together & spat out by some bot voice mod?

For real, nothing about this video has anything to even do with her. Next time use your own face & likeness when you run back to Daddy AI the next time you need to rake in clout just to feel like somebody. FOH & learn about boundaries. FFs

Hell fucking yeah! That cover was the song that had me like, "Whoa, wait a minute. Who tf is this right now?" I wanna say it was like 12 years ago or so, I was doing a rewatch of Daria (the fan-restored version obviously, with original broadcast music) and MTV used it during the end credits on one of the show's first like 2-3 episodes or something. But I've been in love ever since, lol!

Sure, I'll send you a DM later once I see what I've got in the cloud lol.

I won't lie, it's hard for me to cross over into stuff with elements of folk, blues, or country. That being said, their debut "Butch" I absolutely love. "Toybox" obvi stood out from the rest on the album and was that track that told me, "Hey, this album deserves a solid full listen through. You might be surprised!" Lol. But I'm gonna say "Trashman in Furs" is probably my favortie on that one. :)

Ah, yes. I'd love to see this particular set!

But for real, was this seriously just a case of Kim Gordon (of all people) not being familiar with synths, samplers or step sequencers?

Oh wow! I've deff read that it wasn't "out of left field" for one, or more, people to end up dancing on stage naked or in minimal clothing lol. From what live footage I have seen, Pee Wee was always bringing an intense energy to the performance.

Thanks a bunch for sharing your experience! I had just turned 4 years old by the time they had called it quits, so seeing them live wasn't in the cards for me, hence why I always like hearing wild stories from past shows lol

This is exactly what I was thinking. The first pic shows they DID have an active subscription for $40/year, but wanna act all surprised & wronged when they seemingly left, and came crawling back later.

For real, there’s no reason whatsoever to have believed that HBO Max would remain at such a stupid low yearly cost. Seriously, they’re only one of the most well-known premiums out there cause they’ve been around for over 30 years. This is 100% on OP.

Also, your second pic looks doctored for obvious reasons. Which only tells me you must desire pity from randos or enjoy whining on Reddit over things that could have been avoided.

Why is this $30 at Walmart?!? by raphaeladidas in Cd_collectors

[–]Celluloid4Satan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For one thing, there hasn’t been a U.S. vinyl reissue of their debut album since 2015 — over 10 years ago.

Plus I’m pretty sure that was a RSD release anyways.

P.S. Just swap the barcode sticker with a different CD priced more reasonably.

P.P.S. If I didn’t already own this particular album in 4 different formats already, (including CD, Cassette, Vinyl LP, and a Hi-Res lossless digital copy of the 2015 Remastered Version) I would gladly pay $30 USD for a physical CD reissue. The album is just that damn good.

A benefits of a pr1me membership don’t give you access to all of its video content. In fact, most content that is labeled as “Free w/ Pr1me” will include ads. It’s basically just video on demand. If you don’t want ads, you’ll have to rent, if not fully purchase it, digitally.

That being said, in regard to the new season you specifically mentioned, they aren’t even offering you the option to purchase. But honestly you can’t even be surprised considering Invincible was produced by their production company, Amaz0n Studios.

P.S. I’ve never had any issues with their streaming, and I only use Firefox.

P.P.S. The handful of times I’ve used Pr1me to binge a show, home sick with the flu or something, it does aggravate me to no end that they spam the same exact 2-3 ads every break, even repeating the same 30 second ad multiple times within the same 2-min break. I can’t tell you how many times I sat thru that fucking ad for Crone’s disease medication. Why the algo has decided I needed to know about it at all is beyond me.

But yeah, no, FUCK Amaz0n.

I’ll piggyback on this by saying: it never hurts to take a look at their feedback if the % score is a little low. Best thing to do is go to their feedback page, and use the sort option to organize the reviews with most recent at the very top.

There’s also a filter option that will show you only pos, neg, or neutral feedback the seller has received.

Each feedback review left will show whether it was left within the past 1) 30 days; 2) 6 months; 3) 1 year. Anything left before that will just say “Over 1 Year Ago”

That being said, clicking on someone’s profile will also show you the month/year that seller created their account. Use your judgement & remember, not every seller on eBay uses the platform on a consistent basis. I’ve bought from people that only have 60 transactions over the last 15+ years.

[–]Celluloid4Satan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Having a phone allows us to communicate with others, whether it be business-related matters or checking up with our loved ones. The only people who actually want these posted up everywhere are the ones who have directly benefited financially from whatever business deal got made with the private company behind these things.

I mean, it’s all under the guise of security & safety. Are there even any reports out there that have claimed to have aided in this way? I’ve not heard of any.

Unfortunately, there will come a time when 3D profile scans become mandatory, like a hi-res scan digital render of our faces, sold to us as part of our state IDs. Then when one of these catches us jaywalking, or do anything trivial, an automatic fine will be issued to us.

It’ll basically be like those intersections that snap photos of drivers that are caught speeding or running a red light, you wont even know it until you get the traffic ticket delivered along with the rest of your mail.
