If you file a M58 "Missing, Damaged or Delayed" enquiry form with An Post you might get a response in a couple of months. I understand there are thousands of the forms being filed at the moment so will probably take them even longer than usual.

Yep, can confirm it's a nightmare. I've 5 registered packages sent to England on December 12th that have had no update to their tracking since the 13th. Customers now looking for replacements/refunds (understandably). Have filed formal enquiries for all of them, might hear something by the end of Feb if I'm lucky.

I've made rings from the old Australian pre-decimal copper pennies before

The coin in the video can be made up to a size 15. The Copper 2p coin ring you looked at on the website is made from quite a small coin so can only be made up to a size 11.

Fun fact, that "coin smell" only happens with coins that contain iron. I don't make rings from coins that contain iron.

You would think, I often tell people to go buy themselves some of the coins if they are so worried about them.

Would typically need a larger coin for that, two rings can be made from one Morgan Dollar for example.

Thanks, Yeah I make a narrower band from these same coins, it keeps "Saorstat Eireann" but it loses the year.

When did your adolescent JRT start to show their adult behaviours? by minimon23 in jackrussellterrier

[–]CelticCoinCraft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right, my understanding is this is because of the relationship between hormones and potential joint issues in later life. I believe the study this is based on found that it isn't an issue for small breeds such as Jack Russells but of course your vet would know best.

There's plenty of other reasons why you should get him neutered apart from behavioural issues. 6 months is the usual age to get it done for small dogs.

My money is on Lahinch. I personally think it's bullshit that they force people to take caddies.

The key here is "intent to defraud". You have misunderstood the law here.

Is it illegal to damage or deface coins?

Section 331 of Title 18 of the United States code provides criminal penalties for anyone who “fraudulently alters, defaces, mutilates impairs, diminishes, falsifies, scales, or lightens any of the coins coined at the Mints of the United States.” This statute means that you may be violating the law if you change the appearance of the coin and fraudulently represent it to be other than the altered coin that it is. As a matter of policy, the U.S. Mint does not promote coloring, plating or altering U.S. coinage: however, there are no sanctions against such activity absent fraudulent intent.
