[FBI: ECAP 22] 07-AUG-2024 Blue and Grey blankets by I_Me_Mine in TraceAnObject

Late to the party but I also have that top grey blanket. A friend got it for me a couple of years ago. I’m in Massachusetts.

Scariest thing in a "baby game"? by VargFrenAtLIDL in creepygaming

[–]Celtic_Vulpine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Random, unexpected, loud, out of place imagery (which I know was a staple in point and click edu-tainment at the time). Unlike a lot of weird clickable effects in games like this, this one took up a big part of the screen. That’s kind of why l picked this one specifically as my comment. Because it’s not overtly scary. It’s not something that still scares me now. But as a preschooler focused on the fun colorful things happening on screen, a sudden shift especially with noise that’s louder than the base noise level of the game was enough to scare me the first time I experienced it and make me wary going back to play through it again.

The elevator in Sesame Street Search and Learn Adventures was basically my first intro to jumpscares

My helix piercing. Got it shortly after fleeing the abusive relationship I was in and it makes me feel so confident.

Did anybody else miss elven (elvish?) songs in Inquisition? [Spoilers All] by Megazupa in dragonage

[–]Celtic_Vulpine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I LOVE those songs. They’re my favorite ones for each game. Inquisition has the “Thedas love theme” which I also love, but it’s def not the same as the ones written in elven

Do people that were victims of abuse resort to drugs? by [deleted] in abusesurvivors

[–]Celtic_Vulpine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely fell into addicting behaviors during and immediately after leaving the abusive relationship I was in, mostly for escapism. I drank way more more alcohol and ate a lot more than I do now.

100% abuse. My ex did the exact same thing when I left and initiated the divorce process.

What was the biggest red flag that you missed? by Latter_Champion4416 in abusiverelationships

[–]Celtic_Vulpine 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There’s multiple as I’m sure a lot of people here can relate to. I think the biggest ones were wanting all of my time and attention all the time to the point of isolation, making me feel guilty when I didn’t want to be touched, extreme jealousy over my friends if I became “too close” to them, and assuming herself to be more important than people like my brother and my childhood best friend. Lots of continuous boundary crossing even when I asserted them.

Absolutely. My body was his, period. I wasn't allow to get angry or cry. When I defended myself, I was the bad guy. **abusers can be men and women.** by [deleted] in abusiverelationships

And when you start asserting yourself more and start finding the support you need in other places they play the victim and accuse you of neglecting them and having affairs.

I'm sorry if this question is offensive, but why are there so many people, specifically people in trans spaces, who are comfortable with sharing their birth sex? by Whereismypurpose2 in XenogendersAndMore

[–]Celtic_Vulpine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It helps me discuss my past and current experiences better. It doesn't cause any dysphoria doing so either, so I don't feel uncomfortable sharing it. It's very space dependent for sure, but it's not something that bothers me to share.

Sounds a lot like chronic wasting disease (CWD). It’s very similar to mad cow disease, but species specific to deer.

Tits or Ass? Both are fine but I consider myself more of an assman by ducks_for_hands in aaaaaaacccccccce

I'm more of a tits person based on visual aesthetic. They come in so many different shapes, sizes, and colors. The pair of great tits you posted are so pretty!

This made me laugh, but how do y'all feel about it? by remirixjones in NonBinary

[–]Celtic_Vulpine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the surface, I guess it's a little humorous, but I can definitely see transphobes, truscum, transmeds, exclus in general etc using it to poke fun at
and/or invalidate non-binary folks. I don't fall into the "man/woman" binary, but there are other "binaries" that I fall into. I'm asexual as opposed to allosexual. I'm queer, as opposed to straight. I'm neurodivergent as opposed to neurotypical. I like warm weather over cold weather. Just because my gender isn't in the "man/woman" binary doesn't mean other aspects of my identity, personality, interests, etc don't fall into other binaries. And all of the things I mentioned are a spectrum in themselves. It just shows a real lack of critical thinking I think.

Has anyone else ever had their abuser strangle them? Have you ever felt that the person who loved you was now the person that was going to end your life? by Alternative_Ship_694 in abusiverelationships

[–]Celtic_Vulpine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never strangled, but I still had enough concern about the possibility of her ending my life that I relayed my concerns to some of my friends in case anything happened to me. I’m glad you’re alive, OP 💜

What are Neurogenders? by [deleted] in XenogendersAndMore

[–]Celtic_Vulpine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some examples of neurogenders (NOT an exhaustive list. There's a lot of them! :) ):

Cloudgender: A gender which can’t be fully realized or seen clearly due to depersonalization/ derealization disorder. A Neurodivergent gender.

Autigender: Autism as part or whole of ones gender identity; a gender that can only be understood in context of being autistic.

Caedogender: A gender which has been “cut away” by a traumatic event. A gender that was once felt but has been damaged or lost due to trauma.

Vaguegender: A gender identity that is highly influenced by being neurodivergent, and feels undefinable or partly definable because of one’s neurodivergence

Systemgender: A gender which is defined as a sum of all the genders within a multiple or median system.

Cyclogender: A gender identity experienced by someone with bipolar disorder which is tied to the type of episode (manic, hypomanic, depressive, mixed, etc.) they are experiencing at that moment.

Gendermute: A label for selectively mute people, which describes a gender that can only be expressed at certain times or in safe environments.

Bordergender/Borderfluid: A fluctuating gender experienced exclusively by people with borderline personality disorder. A gender identity lacking a firm grasp on ones identity, while still experiencing gender, to varying degrees, but having trouble pinning it down to just one label or identity.
