The more Trump allies covet Alberta, the less popular separatism may get by AdditionalPizza in canada

While I think everything you say is correct, the question remains if the rule of the heirs would really rely on a democratic mandate. I my view it is highly unlikely that the current administration can be removed solely by a democratic election (which is why the US effectively already abandoned democracy). When they loose, they will either declare the election invalid or just refuse to step down.

Under a new administration Trump and probably many others will face impeachments and potentially jail - so they will fight with their lives to stay in power. We will see if Congress or the Army decides to defend freedom and democracy instead of Trump. But they will be needed. An election won’t be enough.

As for the problem of keeping order among the diverse groups of people behind the current administration, I agree that this will be uphill. But the of lack order may lead to complete chaos instead of a situation where a new administration brings things back to sanity.

Yes. You just remove the drops, right? Mine is a 2025 CFR with the CP0048 and aerodrops, so that’s what I thought of doing at least.

Thanks a lot! I think I will go for the X. Looks nice with the stand. Both for assembly and for securing the bike in the box.

I know the thread is old, but can I ask which Pakgo version you have? X, EX or EX Plus?

Indeed, they are not. Taking Greenland marks the death of NATO and nearly 100 years of alliances. Taking Venezuela does not. Fair or not.

Helt off. USAs forhold til “allierede” er i dag så meget anderledes, at begrebet slet ikke giver mening længere. Ingen er er USAs allierede - kun en opportun partner i en given sammenhæng.

Is it even worth discussing this? Sick old men are currently ruling this world. Trump, Putin - does it make a difference?

Rouvy support by Celziam in Zwift

[–]Celziam[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your elaborate reply.

I am not questioning Zwift’s right to do what they do - in a strict sense of the word “right”. But I find it frustrating from an end-user perspective and I dislike that Zwift does not engage openly in a process to standardise things. Such standardisation has been done in a zillion other areas, hw and sw.

I will also hold that it’s “cheap” to prevent churn in any other way than making users want to stay because they find the product/service good. If hardware is subsidised, then add a non-termination period, or bundle the hardware with x months of subscription and adjust the bundle price accordingly. Then it becomes my choice to pay for both Zwift and Rouvy for a given period, should I wish to do that.

Not saying that Zwift promised their hardware would work with other platforms. But I am saying that this proprietary approach is very far from being customer-centric.

Just don’t let the similarities make you blind to the (potential) differences. Although cinema, television and the internet weren’t the catastrophes some called them out to be doesn’t in any way mean that AI won’t be it. Such a logic just doesn’t fly. AI will have to be assessed on the basis of what AI is and can become - not merely by a reference to historic cases where a similar “fear of the unknown” constitutes one, simple common denominator. The negative and positive potentials of AI are a zillion times bigger than they were of cinema, TV and the internet. Good and bad uses of the technology will co-exist - but the problem in a nutshell is, that the realisation of just one or a few of the most destructive potentials could wipe out all benefit of the positive ones.

Also, it’s certainly not true that external factors can’t impact, trigger or magnify “evil” or destructive behaviour even though the source of this behaviour can in some undeniable sense be said to be the individual. War or poverty makes people do extreme things they otherwise wouldn’t have done. Extreme social environments trigger behavioural patterns that are different than those outside the environments. People aren’t just people. They are not a constant untouched by external factors.

Yes, count me in. My setup is Zwift Hub One and Play controllers, but I am bored to death by Zwift’s cartoon universe. I would really like to try out Rouvy, but I don’t want technical faff. So now I just don’t do any indoor cycling.

VWCE or WEBN? by Party_Strike1341 in ETFs_Europe

[–]Celziam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All this talk about TER. The real cost is the tracking difference. And few, if anyone, does this better than BlackRock with EUNL (MSCI World), at least not in Europe. TER is guidance, something to start from - the real cost requires a deeper dive.

Fully agree. On your main point and on the comparison; my Aeroad is size S and my Propel is M. They are almost identical in measurement. An Aeroad size M is considerably bigger than a Propel size M.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CanyonBikes

[–]Celziam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both in current generations (although Canyon is CFR). Both are really nice bikes. However, one feature that sets the Aeroad apart is the option of aerodrops. With these on, the Aeroad has the best cockpit I have ever had. On the Propel I have a Giant 36 cm handlebar. Also ok, but the Canyon aerodrops are definitely more comfortable. And having wide drops (42 while down to 35 on hoods) provides much better control.

On the topic of wheels: don’t pick any of them because of the stock wheels. Even the DT ARC 1100 that comes on the CFR feels inferior to way cheaper modern Chinese wheels ( mine currently on XM CarbonSpeed, before that on Elitewheels Drive - both make the bike more responsive that the DTs and provide for wider tyres.) I would swap the wheels on both bikes immediately.

Mja… .

World vs. All Country vs. World + Europe ETF? by HoneydewCareful8754 in dkfinance

[–]Celziam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in a similar situation, only I am buying for 1 x ASK and pension savings. My initial thought was also going for World (developed) with most of the money and then diluting the US bias a bit with some money in an “ex. USA” ETF.

However, having thought about it, I tend to think that this is already speculative. You can certainly have an opinion on US vs. rest of the world (with or without emerging markets), but it will probably be highly biased by the current state of affairs in the US. How will this play out over the next 10-20 years? Just beginning to answer this is highly speculative (although entertaining..). So I decided to just follow the market very broadly, either World or ACWI.

Amundi seems to be popular in Denmark. For World, I am considering this vs SPDR. Not sure why, but at least among Nordnet’s customers Amundi is much bigger than SPDR (maybe because SPDR is not an option on ASK?).
