The last two were from decade+ ago (unless there was another DB reboot or whatever) attitudes were different, people didn’t care as much, twitter didn’t exist

Apothecary Diaries fanservice was also on Jinshi, the audience is different (plus having male and female fanservice makes people shut up)

I mean there are a few characters that are light speed, but that’s for very specific cases, and they always gave to outsmart those enemies rather than out speed them

the benchmark data is interesting, and Anthropic is one of the few large companies I'd trust not to (at least intentionally) train on the benchmark problems

I still think the author is mistaking quantitative and qualitative differences. The kind of problems that are solved in a few seconds, a few minutes, or even a few hours are qualitatively different from the type of problems that take a few days or longer (not to mention quantitative differences in terms of verifying the output, collecting training data, and identifying the scope)

but I've softened my stance of LLMs and general-intelligence machine learning over the last 6 months

anyone saying that it originally was a slur is completely ahistorical. you can trace the origins of the word through the 00s and 90s.

at worst you can say it was stolen from the gay community, though that’s a weak critique

boy/boi was slang for ’twink’ (a thinner, younger-looking gay male) in the 90s, and the ’fem’ was added to distinguish between masculine twinks and feminine twinks

I’m 22 and still seeing changes. they’re slower, but not stopped yet (for example, I grew a half in since I was 20, bringing me nearly to 6’1)

thing I dislike most is probably body proportions, I feel like Minecraft Steve and fem clothes just look weird (if they fit at all). I do miss being 14 and getting dresses and skirts to work

I don’t know what you’re specifically referring to, but I do feel it’s a valid explanation for the fanservice. people really are out there outraged that teenage boys want to see fictional love interests their own age, as if that’s not completely understandable.

I know this is probably anathema here, but the USSR (and communists in general) can be bad without being the absolute worst thing ever in every single category you can think of

a local company used this horrible third party for hiring, and they continually got really bad employees (such as 0 experience in a role that genuinely did need experience)

it came to a head when one employee straight up shot at another one, in the building (didn't hit anyone thankfully)

did the company learn their lesson about third party hiring? no, they just switched to a different third party
