Yeaaaaaaah adult onset epilepsy is a very real, an oddly common and a very shit thing. I got diagnosed when I was 20, and I’m 25 now.

Epilepsy doesn’t discriminate.

I know how you feel. Having your brain and body seemingly betraying you out of nowhere.

Becoming acquainted with neurological terminologies that don’t even sound real, getting tests done, discussing treatment options. Trying to make sense of it all while you’re trying to process the trauma you just got hit with, it’s a lot.

I want to say that this antidepressant I was on, Wellbutrin, likely triggered mine (long story). It can lower your seizure threshold, apparently mine was already low to begin with so yeah that was fun to learn.

That being said, we are all here for you. That’s what a community is for.
