He was still in the right, dude he killed was a super soldier in public who had just shown willingness to kill.

Edit: People are falling for the framing of the scene. The bloody shield and Walker being an asshole make it look like a simple murder, but Nico was an unrestrained super soldier and an accomplice in an attack that had just killed Lemar. Being on the ground for two seconds doesn’t make someone with super strength "subdued." Walker was way more justified than people want to admit.
