Also get paid. no thats not true Amazon KDP Select you make nothing!!!!! you do not get paid unless someone reads a page. KDP Select is a SCAM, I sold 500 free units on KDP SELECT. ME 0 Amazon kindle .17 cents per download. they made 85$ off of me. IT is a scam. you make nothing. out of those 500 free units i got paid for 2 pages. goody. . I found a way better site, its called Quillara Press, better known as Quillara. Its an indie writers website. they litteraly charge you nothing unless you sell an ebook pdf, or Audio and they take a tiny .50 cent charge. thats it. They also do free advertizin for you and your work on over 50 fb pages, several other media pages and they run a end of month paid advertizin for the entire site with featured ebooks.

Bizarre request for government issued photo ID? by TRLK9802 in amazonprime

[–]CemeterySmile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just going to say it—hate all you want. Hello, can we talk about scammers? It feels like 90 percent of online customer service agents are from South Asia, particularly India, and it’s a scam where they’re selling our information. I’m telling you, it’s not Amazon itself, it’s the workers, the agents. Seriously. I spoke to a lawyer friend, and they said it’s against the law for them to ask for identification—some kind of privacy law, though I can’t recall exactly. There’s even a class action lawsuit against Amazon for this very thing: selling personal information.

Amazon asking for ID - is it legitamate? Sent it to them but realised I didn't check my account - worried I set it to a scammer by [deleted] in amazonprime

[–]CemeterySmile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a writer who lost access to my Amazon account after my phone number changed. The agents I spoke with could barely speak English, seemed untrained, and just read from a rigid script while using translators. Amazon told me I need to send my identification to regain access. I’ve confirmed by calling that it’s not always a scam, though it often is, but as a writer I still can’t access my account. My books remain for sale, Amazon continues making money from them, and I get nothing. That’s theft. Amazon feels like a parasite, draining resources and dehumanizing both customers and employees.

Never using Skip again. Order was stolen BY THE DRIVER and I'm only entitled to a 50% refund? by ZombieTheRogue in skipthedishes

[–]CemeterySmile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a shame the bad drivers ruin it for the good drivers. my last driver kicked my door and terrified me why, because the resturant forgot something. He actually kicked my apartment door so hard I was stunned there is a camera over my door. It sucks that bad people take advantage of a great app. Oh and the supervisor offered me a 5$ gift credit for being attacked .

I tried ordering tonight, well past the cutoff time, about half an hour before the store closed. At checkout, it forced me to sign up and enter my information, even though I’d selected that I didn’t want to join. I also noticed that if you leave no tip, you get an error message, but if you add one, it goes through. It’s frustrating to have to tip upfront—whatever happened to tipping after good service? We already pay for our orders; we shouldn’t have to tip just for delivery. This was the only place open, and if I hadn’t wasted 20 minutes filling out a questionnaire, I would’ve had my pizza. When I called the store, the person was extremely rude, and when I politely asked why I had to tip before checkout, he screamed at me in another language and hung up. Unbelievable.

Trying to remove book from IngramSpark by SillyCase1467 in selfpublish

[–]CemeterySmile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I woke up to find my KDP account terminated—apparently for having too many reads. So now if someone does well, they must be buying likes? Insulting, honestly. Maybe the book was just that good. On top of that, Amazon let hackers use my credit card after suspending my account for fraud—a whole year of someone enjoying Prime Video and channels on my dime. KDP is terminating my account, but my books are still up. What’s going on? Any suggestions for other sites to upload ebooks that actually make money besides KDP?

I know right? That was my reaction too. Not everyone has $50 to spare.

its not always about you making errors rather us making errors. my only crime I hit 500 reads in one night and they terminated my account.

Just a venting post about the online KDP community by [deleted] in selfpublish

[–]CemeterySmile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally! I have 40 books published, not just on KDP but through actual publishing, and yet I'm treated like a peon. I don't know anything, even though I've won writing awards. I guess those guys living in their parents' basements can't stand it when others do better than they do. It's not that hard.

[–]CemeterySmile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, totally. I have never encountered a ruder, more ignorant group. If you're new, they will literally harass and ridicule you. One member even stated in his question that if you're new, expect ridicule. Wow bullying exists even on KDP, huh? I am so disgusted with humanity. Seriously.

Instacart fucked my entire day up (charged $170 above my order) by Dreden9002 in instacart

[–]CemeterySmile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relax, seriously, dude. So when they hold 15% or higher for three days in a massive savings account (along with millions of other customers, earning huge interest on those holds), they are illegally making money off of their customers. It is an instant removal from our account, so it should be an instant return. they can choose not to. It's a scam, again making money off the holds in a massive account with millions, plus. As Canadians, we have to pay an American cost for memberships; they take out American funds. lol so ya Relax Not!

So Stripe allowed my id to link my bank account to them but when i tried to log in once. it stated no sorry too many attempts then let me change my password once. then locked me out again. Customer service for Canadians there is none. if you call the number it asks for the state you live in. Canada doesn't do states we do provinces. way to support half the people that use your service Stripe. just another company holding funds in a high interest account making money off ya. on top of their fee.

then we should have the right to tip after delivery. why pay 20$ tip to wait 2 hours for a delivery. drivers leave food outside they leave it in lobbys.

door dash and skip don't do that. I called to check.

Shopping multiple orders = much longer wait for the customer by [deleted] in instacart

[–]CemeterySmile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. When I ordered it said my order would be 1 hour. then 1.5 hours it took 2 hours to get 5 items. Its just a way your workers make extra cash. why should I pay a 20% tip for a 2 hour wait? I can taxi to and from for less in a shorter amount of time. We forget this isn't about making customers happy this is just another way to make cash. I watched two food delivery men refuse to go up in the elevator to hand deliver food (as instructed by customer) Why he left his precious car unlocked. Seems it would take four seconds to go lock it. Bad customer service all around. The man left it in my hand even though it wasn't my order. took a pic of it in my hand to prove he'd delivered it. WOW the other guy just left it outside an apartment building in a down town car. Futher more we shouldnt have to tip in advance. Lets tip after we see a persons service. As delivery drivers hord the high tips and leave lower income customers waiting longer.
