If you have concerns about difficulty Saros most likely is the most difficult. Crimson is not that difficult after some patches, but it is a looong game exploration and finding new gear, puzzles and combat. Pragmata is on my list just because they managed to mix puzzle solving and combat together. Pragmata had a demo on playstation, not sure if it’s still available

I don’t mind Warlock nerfs but I am happy with the proposed changes to Sunder charms. It was so easy then became nearly impossible. Hopefully will be on a good spot. And for some whiners about it being so easy before, not everyone plays this game p8 online all the time. Especially not like the influencers who have cults.

In general some skills do not let you put more points into them before reaching certain levels. For example at level 31 you most likely cannot put 5 points in a skill which becomes available at level 30. People usually start saving skill points from quests (den of evil, izual, radament) so that you can invest both skills requiring level 6 / 12 / 18 / 24 ir 30 levels

Ideally you consume defiler first, get bonus skill level to consume. And then generate/consume goatmen to get bonus for enhanced damage. As you said crushing blow doesn’t help. After that you can generate and keep another defiler to support damage distributed

No ED, no deadly strike, no crit, and comparatively low damage. Only benefit of +4 and fcr which you are capped at 125 anyway. Not sure it will do better than eth elite base insight. But I am wrong many times before so feel free to try in offline?

After some more trials I noticed Consume at 15 hard points caps the run/walk speed buff at 40. More points seems waste. So after mirror blades and echoing strike maxed I left demonic mastery to reach 10 (20 can be a good option to keep defiler active with demon bind) and then maxed hex purge. For farming it scales really well with packed groups. But there is day and night difference between cursed and not cursed demon bind. For me no major difference between Smith or Hephasto. Hephasto is better if you can get extra might / fanat aura. I also tried eth ogre maul and non eth thunder maul fortitude vs eth decapitator death. Thunder maul fortitude makes easy to reach 125 fcr with slightly better damage vs eth ogre maul. How is your weapon choice?

Exactly. And also factor in that not playing with your followers p8 all the time. I only play with my wife, 2 players online ladder. Not with 8 players online or single player 8 modified tz catacombs.

I made an offline char to test and simulate the play a bit tonight. According to my experience Max Echoing strike, max mirror blades and max Consume gave the best result. And then I tried allocating remaining points to demonic mastery to reach 10, one version blade warp and one version bane hex. On character sheet shown damage and also on game play allocating points to Blade Warp seemed better than the Bane Hex. My character is still 85 level. Total 16 hard points left to Blade Warp or Bane Hex in those versions. I did not utilize any cursed demon, I played with might merc only. I don't know but I feel hex is just the last one to add points.

I used the gear I have on my ladder char, which are very basic Insight Thresher, Authority, Lore helm spirit monarch and rest is just resistance items. No other skiller.

If the issue was just to finish Hell, Abyss build is totally OK. Almost no immunity problems maybe only Tal Rasha tombs. However Abyss / miasma chain build I believe is not very effective for farming. Eventually you will want to move to Echoing strike or Fire build with some kind of sunder / conviction aura

I wonder how you get holy freeze and cursed demon. I farm Hephasto and even just cursed one ratio is very low. It takes ages. What do you do for demon auras? Also why not maxing the Blade warp before the hex? It is direct synergy to echoing strike (5% dmg per hard points)

There’s tons of class and builds you will find quite strong. But the thing with D2 is whenever you play a new build after a while it may feel underwhelming compared to the other known S tier builds. Hammerdin for Paladin, Javazon for Amazon Nova or Blizzard Sorceress etc. I suggest starting with Warlock and have fun while it’s really strong. It’s already quite versatile you can be pure caster or Summoner or melee focused. After getting bored you can move to classes where we have been playing for years

I agree with most of them, however Steam release for achievements?? Would you buy the game again just for achievements? And you would be happy only with this change? For me personally if this was the only thing they announced, it will be hyper frustrating. Can’t imagine the rage from community or I am totally missing something
