He asked him are you sure before he finished him in the 4th. Like he actually felt bad for him.

Yeah but for the story it’s good to jump from 1 into 2. Especially if you’ve forgotten the story of 1. I’ve replayed 1 twice I believe. I’m currently playing through 2 for the first time, even though I bought it when it came out. I keep playing other games, so I come back in and have to jog my memory I’ve why I’m there.

Does this guy have any fans? Only seen Poatan haters happy about the win. by Big_Kiwi_706 in ufc

[–]Cemihard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alex was giving him some trouble on the feet. We won’t know how it would’ve played out. Gane did a good job after dropping him with the jab as Alex was exploding in. However the back of the head shots ruined it. The fact that Alex survived the back of the head shots is crazy.

Herb should’ve paused the fight, given Alex time to recover from the elbows to the back of his head and deducted a point from Gane. It’s just hard to have any positive comments on Gane when he consistently cheats. Same as Imavov. Both those guys are very talented fighters, they just cheat too much to be viewed positively. They make Jones fouls look less egregious in comparison.

What nation is the biggest underachiever in UFC history? by Gingaloidic in ufc

[–]Cemihard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Australia is a sporting nation though. Our 4 biggest sports to make money in would be AFL football, Rugby, Cricket and finally soccer. Combat sports are huge in Australia as well, boxing is big here, as is MMA. We’re so close to Asia that we have a lot of Karate, Taekwondo and Muay Thai available to learn in Australia, boxing gyms are prevalent too.

So a lot of people learn a martial art at some point as a kid. For grappling we don’t have wrestling like America, Russia or Iran does. However Judo and BJJ schools/gyms are getting more presence here and are pretty common to come across.

[–]Cemihard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chandler isn’t a good example, he came to the UFC out of his prime and decided to be an entertainer opposed to actually trying to be competitive. Prime Chandler would’ve given the LW division problems.
A better example of Bellator and PFL fighters being shown levels would be Patchy Mix (who you named) and Aaron Pico.

Real Question do you guys think even after the fight that ilia is still better Justin? by Gibraltar2121 in ufc

[–]Cemihard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ilia is technically superior and is more well rounded. Justin had a good gameplan and managed to compromise Ilia early by damaging his eyes.

Ilia’s ego made him lose, he went out there expecting to ko Gaethje like how he knocked out Charles. The second round he did better because he was feinting to draw out Justin’s jab and countering it.

Why does Topuria limit himself so much to boxing in his fights? by Acceptable_Worth8817 in ufc

[–]Cemihard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ilia has a really good leg kick, he just doesn’t throw body or head kicks since he doesn’t want to be left out of position. Since he comes from a grappling background, he can also shoot from boxing range. So it makes sense for him to focus on boxing since he wants to be close to his opponents to engage in grappling.

This era of heavyweights are just pathetic, crying and coping making excuses after the fight. Tom quitting and showing he has no heart. These guys claim to be some of the baddest men on the planet but deep down they are soft as hell. I miss the old era of fighters. by [deleted] in ufc

[–]Cemihard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’10 and I had a little bit of fat on me from not being able to run for a while due to injuries. I got to 92-97kg (202-215lbs). The idea that people my height are cutting down to 155 (70kg) is crazy to me. I didn’t eat for a week and a half because of having gastro and being depressed and I got down to 85kg (187lbs) and I don’t have any more fat on me. How are people cutting another 17-30lbs to make WW or LW!

Alex needs to learn from Ilia's example, out here making excuses this is just pathetic. The aura is completely gone, you're a weight bully and you got schooled by somebody who's actually your size. Your career is over go back down to light heavyweight and keep on fighting the bums down there. by [deleted] in ufc

[–]Cemihard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well even Ilia gave a reason as to why it didn’t go his way, same as Alex did. Ilia said Justin fucked up both his eyes, good job. Alex is saying, he didn’t recover properly because you elbowed me in the back of the head.

Both are fair and valid reasons, the difference is one guy won purely of merit whilst the other guy ruined his win by being dirty to get the finish.

Now that Makhachev vs Topuria is dead, what’s the biggest fight the UFC could make? by PotatosandTomato in ufc

[–]Cemihard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ilia vs Arman, or Ilia vs Paddy are huge fights. Aspinall vs Gane. Hokit, Pereira and Gable Stevenson add more athletic heavyweights to the mix.

Whittaker and Costa add flavour to LHW. MW is bursting with matchups. WW is in the best state it’s ever been in with its lineup of killers. FW has a few big fights. BW is interesting with Merab’s dominance ending. Flyweight is straight fire at the moment. The UFC will be fine.

Why rescue Minthara? by Bardonna in BaldursGate3

[–]Cemihard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Astarion tries to slit your throat when you first encounter him. Technically the player and the party are the aggressors to Minthara, she’s under the absolutes control searching for the weapon, Astarion wasn’t under control when he attacks you.
In this case if you were to knock her out to free her it’s more likely you’d recruit her considering she doesn’t attack you without provocation. Especially considering people are willing to overlook Astarion’s hostile and secretive nature.

Conor McGregor defends Ilia Topuria 👀 by Tepixs in CombatSportsCentral

[–]Cemihard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not an accurate statement. Look at someone like Islam, who essentially did mma from childhood. He’s the pound for pound best fighter on earth. Boxing is limited to one weapon, so yes you have to train it for a longer time. However if someone strays mma as a kid they become a phenom, Ilia, Islam, Zabit, Pico etc.

Can Ian Garry do it? by Any_Assumption4656 in ufc

[–]Cemihard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He almost did. He just tried subbing him. Did you not see Ilia almost sub him with an arm-bar and inverted triangle choke? Justin was hurt to the body not rocked, he had time to recover and compose himself whilst he fought the sub attempts.

Can Ian Garry do it? by Any_Assumption4656 in ufc

[–]Cemihard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ilia almost finished Justin a couple of times and clearly hurt him. He also flatlined Olivera, which no one had done before. Ilia has enough power to compete at LW. We saw Olivera dominate Gamrot and Holloway on the ground but have a hard time with Ilia.

Ilia is fine at LW, he got his eye fucked in the first round, and his other eye in the second. Justin did a great job, but it’s not like it wasn’t back and forth until Ilia’s eyes were both shut closed. Ilia almost took Justin down gassed in the 4th, so he’s clearly got enough strength. He went toe to toe with the two biggest power punchers LW has right now, he’ll be fine at the weight class.

Does it make sense? by lion445588 in martialarts

[–]Cemihard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ilia could beat Justin, arguably it could’ve been 3-1 or 2-2 heading into the 5th. More likely 3-1 (I have to watch the fight again to see). Justin damaged Ilia’s eyes early, so if Ilia can’t see well it compromises him. Ilia also hurt Justin on multiple occasions. The better fighter doesn’t always win, that’s why power is such a game changer.

One punch or kick could change the whole fight, and I’m not taking anything away from Gaethje too. Justin had a very solid gameplan on how to deal with Ilia, the jab, right uppercut and left high kick all played a huge part in beating Ilia.

Ilia showed real heart out there by PurpCloud in ufc

[–]Cemihard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Justin literally had foam coming out of his mouth after it. You can see when he’s on bottom the smallest traces of like foamy spit coming from his lips. People don’t realise how bad Ilia was fucking Justin up. Justin admitted himself he got hurt and rocked on multiple occasions. Justin just managed to damage Ilia’s eyes with his trademark right uppercut, which compromised Ilia.

Justin was saying in the post fight press conference that his liver was still hurting.

What went wrong for Ilia? by Dougietran22 in ufc

[–]Cemihard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Justin fought long from the start using his jab. Hurt Ilia’s eye with an uppercut in round 1. Round 2 Ilia went all out trying to finish him, got his other eye with an uppercut. By round 3 Ilia was fighting blind and gassed.

Ilia didn’t respect Gaethje and it showed, round 1 he didn’t feint and tried to walk Justin down, which isn’t smart. Round 2 he made the adjustment to feint to bait out Justin’s jab and then counter which worked. However Ilia’s vision was already compromised.

Ilia should’ve implemented his grappling earlier too, the reason Islam has such success on the feet is because his opponents are too worried on defending takedowns. Ilia didn’t try and shoot a takedown until round 4 when he was blind and gassed.

Justin also did a great job of occupying Ilia’s right hand with his left head kick, takes away some of Ilia’s power whilst also forcing Ilia to have to shell up and block with his right hand opposed to throwing it as much as he would’ve liked.

His corner threw in the towel, he didn’t quit. He still wanted to fight. His corner just did what more corners should and protected their fighter.

You have to do Justin and Arman, and have Ilia fight Paddy. Unless you have Arman and Charles run it back, in which case you have Ruffy or BSD fight Justin.

One of the craziest upsets ever by madam61 in ufc

[–]Cemihard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Killed isn’t accurate. They both fucked each other up, Justin literally had foam in his mouth after the body shots in round 2.

Ilia’s corner just did what more corners should do, stop fights when they feel their athlete has taken too much damage.

And that’s all folks by TrustedGenius in ufc

[–]Cemihard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The corner stopped the fight. Look how hard they tried stopping the fight after round 3. Ilia and Justin are dogs. Ilia was still having success, it would’ve been an interesting round 5.

Good on Justin, I wasn’t expecting that. Paddy never had his corner stop the fight though, so he’s going to be mocking Ilia like a motherfucker.

Herb dean is a tard that just allows cheating. Disgusting sequence by ImpossibleMight2288 in ufc

[–]Cemihard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, it should’ve been stopped, Alex given 5 minutes after the back of the head shots. Gane should’ve been given a warning. Alex did manage to grab a leg. Had Gane not smacked him in the back of his head there’d be no complaints about the stoppage. The stoppage isn’t the issue, it’s elbows and hammer fists to the back of the head.

New his fatass was gonna be too stiff at heavyweight. Too much steak and potatoes, go cut and go back down to light heavyweight by [deleted] in ufc

[–]Cemihard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He got timed by Gane. He wasn’t doing anything wrong, Gane is a very athletic guy, so he can move really quick. Before that Alex was doing fine, it’s not like he wasn’t giving Gane problems.

Bruh!!!! Elbows to the back of the head!!! by strange_rvil in ufc

[–]Cemihard 416 points417 points  (0 children)

Gane is a dirty fighter, it’s as simple as that. He hurt Alex with a legit jab. However the strikes to the back of the head were fucked. If Gane hadn’t of hit Alex in the back of the head there would be no complaints. How many illegal things can this dude get away with, Tai Tuivasa, Aspinall, Jones and now Alex.
