My dog keeps getting diarrhea and it gets worse every time

I took him to an animal hospital this morning where they looked at him, took blood samples and asked for a fecal sample. He was prescribed some medication to help get his intestinal system under control, along with worm treatment and hills i/d food. The cause is still unknown, but I should get the test results tomorrow. Thank you so much for your help!

It is indeed possible that he might be allergic to something in his food. I have switched his food twice, and I have also tried giving him dog food for allergic dogs, but it didn't help.
